Approachable wines, affable merchant! This wine shop in the Columbia City are carries a wonderful variety of affordable and fun wines, with some very nice bottles for special occasions as well. This visit we picked up several new wines to try, some we chose and at least one we bought on a recommendation from the merchant. All very good, and none broke the bank.
What to know: street parking nearby or there is a pay by the hour lot just up the street. Visit the neighborhood for lunch and afterward pop in for some wines to help you celebrate the rest of the week. Wonderful!

I've been a wine club member for over 10 years. The owner has impeccable taste, and he also understands value. I'm always amazed by the variety.

We are lucky to have a unique and plentiful wine shop located in Columbia City. Earlier this year we finally joined the Traveller’s Wine Club which is two bottles of wine a month for $30. Dave hand picks great wines from all over but mostly Italy, Spain and France. He will go through the tasting notes with you upon pick up to help you pair it was a great meal that week. He mixes it up based on the season, sometimes you’ll get a red and white, a rose, a bubbly and a red, or two reds! Recently we got a flat red and a Lambrusco which was super fun!

Dave is an expert on lots of wines and we have usually enjoyed every bottle in our monthly pick up and it doesn’t break the bank $. Additionally, we’ve ask for specific wines or vermouth and Dave is always willing to see if his importers have them so we can purchase in store.

I am giving this a 5/5 but wish this place could have more wine tasting events and options to do a wine pairing with food. Maybe some day! I’d rate it a 6/5 ;)

Incredible selection! Helpful staff can recommend delicious options even if you don’t know anything about wine. I don’t know why google shows three $$$. The prices were very competitive and reasonable but I was almost scared off by the $$$.

David put together a box for me curb side pick up and it is an amazing selection of wines. He worked within my budget and used my past purchases to inform a very valuable grouping of wines. Thanks again!

I have gone in my fair share of times asking for pairings for everything from Ethiopian food to bolognese to salmon, each time the owner picks out a wine that ends up being a perfect pairing and among the best wines I have had. They are incredibly reasonably priced.
I haven’t picked out something here that I have not loved so far!

This place makes me want to buy wine local ! Nice little shop on Rainier in Columbia City. I went there for the first time today and there was a vermouth tasting. All fine italian vermouths and a knowledgeable professional serving them. It is ideal to be able to taste before buying. I left with a really satisfying and well crafted vermouth as well as a Primitivo from Puglia. The selection is excellent and the prices reasonable and competitive. Friendly, knowledgeable service.

We can't quite afford to keep a sommelier on our full time staff but Dave is the next best thing. We tell him what we're eating, and he tells is what we're drinking. As we sip, we never fail to marvel at his genius. Wines are reasonably priced with lots of options under $15, though you can splurge if you like.

Nice little shop where you can find some real nice wines and the owner can advise you on most everything wine.

What a great shop! You will find an interesting and well curated selection of international wine at reasonable prices here, and Dave is super knowledgeable and always gives great recommendations.

Dave has the best wine at prices that can't be beat anywhere. Wine club offerings are first rate and Thursday night tastings are always fun too - where he brings in a different wine maker each week.

David has a fantastic pallet: he doesn’t allow Anything that’s not great into this store. This is the place for a beautiful and interesting journey through the world of wine.

Very approachable for wine novices but can talk detail and nuance for those more knowledgeable. Great wine club with multiple levels, had some really great deals and we've never been steered wrong!
