Last night, We celebrated our daughter’s 30th birthday at Barbara’s! What a great night it was… so festive and delicious ….the food was plentiful and very fresh! Lots of lively music and incredible cocktails…if you want authentic Italian pasta, pizza, vegetables and more … you must go! Barbara’s made the night so special! Delicioso e Perfecto …Bravo!

Truly fantastic night had by all! Barabara’s effortlessly hosted a rehearsal dinner for 40 with a reasonably priced set menu. Lovely cocktails and fast, kind service. Every course was excellent, with the pinsa and gnocchi as stand outs. We were LOUD and they rolled with our happy families!

I believe this is my 2nd time eating here as the 1st time was many years ago. We were looking for place to eat and walked by and saw pizza on the tables and it looked too good to pass up. We each had a cocktail and our own pizza. If you're not very hungry you could share a pizza with 2 people. The pizza was so delicious that I did manage to finish mine although she didn't finish hers. There are many restaurants to choose from in this area but I would definitely go back here for the pizza.

Came for the pinsa, will go back for the eggplant appetizer.

Enjoyed a delicious dinner on 5-4-19. Ordered two bottles of wine. List was a good mix between old and new world 🍷. Kale and blood orange salad was very nice. Pasta was good.

🍕 was excellent. Crust was very crispy, light and airy. Toppings were generous. Would come back for the 🍕! 😀

Service was good. Not over attentive. Would come back again.

👀 Came here as part of the North Beach Food Tour, it is a modern Roman pizzerie, named after the owner's grandma. Its specialty is pinsa, a cloud-like pizza made with lighter ingredients.

Pinsa is an ancient style of Roman pizza made using combination of soy, rice, and heirloom wheat flour. The dough is left to rise for 48-72 hours, then baked at a lower temperature. The result is a thick but light and airy crispy crust, rich in natural fiber.

It’s located on a corner block so pretty good for people watching.

💥 This red and white restaurant has pop art type features with neon sign. Floral wallpaper gives it a retro type vibe.

💁🏼‍♀ The service was so lovely here, we were welcomed like family.

🍸 Barbara’s is a full on cocktail bar, offering beer, wine, spirits and $13 cocktails!

🍴 This is their signature pinsa the San Francisco USD 16.00 Tomato sauce, spicy salami, italian sausage, mozzarella, red onion - a little spicy! and cheesy check out the cheese pull!

Great food, atmosphere (we sat on the sidewalk with heaters to enjoy watching the lively evening), and service! The calamari & veggies were some of the best I’ve had in a while. Can’t wait to go back to try more in their menu. Wine was delicious & reasonably priced.

We were a party of 25 who loved the experience and customer service! The carbonara is incredible. I studied in Rome for several months, and this is the closest I've come to traditional Roman cuisine in the states!

Great pizzas and pastas, second best in North Beach so that says something!! and atmosphere is electric, super friendly staff and we spoken. Would definitely come back for another Negroni :)

Attended half of a dinner from Salesforce, food looked and tasted great.

Vibe was great, just a bit too packed. Shoulders to shoulders kind of packed seating.

This is the second Pinsa I have ever had in my life after being a Pizza Elitist/ Self Diagnosed Pizza Expert for the past 35 years and hailing from San Francisco itself - NOT some outlying area. Listen here, I am an OG San Francisco Native who has been to New York. And Italy. I would like to profess that I know a thing or two about Pizza. Especially San Francisco Pizza as I have now tried 72 Pizza Places in the Greatest City of All Time since May 2022 alone.

Given that my expertise in Pinsa is new - I can tell you that overlooking Pinsa or not taking Pisa seriously is strictly a personal problem and you are committing a crime against your pallet, your taste buds and your understanding of the fine craft of Pizza if you overlook Pinsa. Barbara, Barbara, Barbara. Babs. Fantastic Romanian Style Pinsa. It is hard to explain Pinsa right now but if you know, you know. Superior to Pizzetta, Grandma Style and even Chicago Style to me. Only Neapolitan and Detroit Style do I favor over Pinsa... however... Pinsa actually is basically as good as Neapolitan. Some could argue that it is better and if you use Barbara Pinseria as an example of how that is possible, you are making a sensible decision to support your argument.

You may want to consider lining up on the corner of Barbara Pinseria with signs and stage a Protest against people who refuse to try Pinsa in lieu of positively impacting their life by doing so at Barbara Pinseria. Barbara, Barbara, Barbara. Babs. Great Pinse. Bravo.

Had a wonderful time here for a wedding reception. Salad, antipasti with mortadella prosciutto etc, pasta with tomato cheese sauce and a main dish of a chicken leg with potatoes and vegetables. Each of the courses tasted so good. The bread with olive oil was also really incredible. If you want some wonderful food in a relaxed atmosphere check out this place.

A friend took me to this gem of a Columbus Avenue restaurant in North Beach. Barbara Pinseria & Cocktail Bar makes a great cocktail and the food was fabulous. Pictured is an arugula salad and Spaghetti Carbonara. Both, so delicious!

This place has it all — great menu, a kitchen that makes the most of fresh, quality ingredients, fabulous people-watching, and warm and excellent service! Don’t skip the salads, they’re delicious.
