Dr. Merriman and his staff are the absolute best! I have never been so pampered at a dentist's office - blanket, sun glasses, lip balm, free toothbrushes and small toothpaste tubes in the restroom to freshen up before your visit - and all smiles from every staff member. I just had to reschedule an appointment only one day in advance, and I was treated with kindness and understanding. I'll be going there for as long as they'll let me!

I have been working with Dr. Seekand and I must say the experience I’ve had with her and the staff there has been life changing. Prior to my first visit I had a lot of anxiety from prior dental history but they exceeded all my personal needs as well as provoke with great service. This is my only recommendation and the BEST orthopedic office is Marietta !

I love to smile but I’m not crazy about visiting the dentist. Cleanings, fillings, drilling, flossing…all those words are like fingernails on a black board to me. With that said, Dr. Merriman and his amazing staff make dental visits more than bearable.

Dr. Merriman’s hygienist staff are experts at cleaning and finding small dental concerns that Dr. Merriman can take care of before they become big issues.

The office staff goes above and beyond to make appointments fit with work schedules and do an excellent job with reminders through phone calls, e-mails, and text messages. And, they are always willing to file and contact insurance to make their excellent services as affordable as possible.

Lastly, Dr. Merriman himself is a knowledgeable and skilled perfectionist who wants to make your smile look beautiful and healthy. His practice is on the cutting edge of dental care and there are always new ways he makes visits more comfortable and his treatments more advanced.

Great staff, all of them are very good at there jobs. Dr. Merriman is the best when it comes to clean teeth. I never have to wait, they always call you in at your appointment time. Everyone is nice!

Dr. Merriman and his staff are in a league of their own. During my 59 years on this planet, I have had many visits to various dental offices. I can confidently say, this was best. I just wish I had moved my care to him earlier. Caring and professional staff and doctor in an office with modern technology and ample parking. What else could you want?

I switched dentist when I moved to Cobb County and I'm so thankful for the recommendation to Dr. Merriman's office! The staff is extremely helpful and Dr. Merriman is very patient and detailed. Even though the claims system is a little different, it's completely worth it and the staff makes sure to make it as painless as possible. I recommend this office to all my Cobb county friends!

I have been going to Dr. Merriman since 1986. I have to agree with one of the other reviewers who said she enjoys going to the dentist. Some people fear dental appointments and dental work, but if they saw Dr. Merriman or his hygienists, they would never have to be afraid again. He has a way of putting me at ease when he is doing work on my teeth. He is very smart and knowledgable and I totally trust him with my teeth!!

I drive 20 miles to this office from downtown for a reason. Their entire staff is positive, friendly, competent, and has high attention to detail and focus on patient comfort.

They've take an excellent care of me and my family for many years, and I can't imagine going elsewhere.

I will admit to being one of those people that smiles and laughs a lot. Over the years though, my smile and laughter faded and were concealed by a covered hand due to crowns and a bridge making me not so confident to do either.

I was referred to Dr. Merriman's office by a friend. She knew of the struggles I was continually having with a previous dentist of 15 years, regarding crowns and a bridge falling out numerous times, cracking or just breaking in two. I had become self conscience about my smile due to the fit, the unnatural look, and the gap from the crowns/bridge to the gum tissue. I was constantly having headaches and worrying one of them would fall apart or out. My bite had been adjusted throughout the years in such a way that I could not bite down on my teeth fully due to the crowns/bridge not being placed properly, but over the years I just got used to dealing with it, never fully understanding they were falling out or cracking due to an improper fit in my mouth. This past dentist was not a cosmetic dentist. Now I, with my mouth, gums and smile know the difference.

Meeting with Dr. Merriman for an assessment was educational and humbling. His gift of first listening, then making a plan to suit my needs and concerns were much appreciated and priceless. He, as well as his staff, patiently answered my questions as we began to talk about the phases of the restoration process.

This was a big decision for two reasons. Initially, I thought both dealt with cost, but I have come to understand the decision is also to restore peace of mind and confidence. My evaluation was first, the other dentist of 15 years was not a cosmetic dentist and I had spent a lot of time, and money, on what? Work that adjusted my mouth in a way that I could not bite fully on either side, and allowed my smile to be unsightly, embarrassing, as well as the bridge and crowns falling out at inopportune moments to the point I had to carry dental cement as a staple in my purse. My bad. Second, was I now going to spend more money to have Dr. Merriman fix the issues with my teeth, or was I going to stay as I was, having headaches, being anxious as to when the next issue would come up (or fall out), and continuing to fix issues as they came up. One way or the other, it was more money. Either a little money at a time not knowing when the next thing would happen, or was I ready to just get it done right this time? I opted to get this done properly this time. Finally.

Throughout each phase, I was given the answers I needed to make informed decisions. For me, this was not a fast process and took many trips to the office, but Dr. Merriman made it as enjoyable as one could with this process. He was always thoughtful, concerned, informative, and oh so thorough throughout each phase as decisions needed to be made.

My smile which was once faded, has been restored. I believe in the beginning of this process, my thought was 'just make my teeth work'. But, as I look back to the 'before' Dr. M, it is much more. I smile without the embarrassment of showing my teeth or placing my hand over my mouth. The anxiousness of wondering what is going to break next, is gone. I'm not sure if this makes sense, but my teeth are now balanced in my mouth. I no longer have those headaches and that cement I used to carry is a thing of the past. But, as I said previously, the restoration process not only restored my smile and laughter, but has restored my confidence in my smile, and a peace of mind I had not realized was missing until I walked through this process.

I could write a paragraph about why, but I won't go into it. I got my wisdom teeth out at 27, then didn't really go back to the dentist until 12 years later.

I was so, so scared to go back again. My father kept pushing me, and I finally did, to see Dr. Merriman. I was incredibly scared to make an appointment, go to the appointment, get seated in the chair, then have some guy come in and look at my teeth and judge me. I was terrified to be judged for the dental neglect I had taken part in for some time.

The first visit to Dr. Merriman, we sat in his office and talked for probably 30 minutes. I was able to tell him all of my fears long before he took a look inside my mouth. It was incredibly amazing to have the first visit go like this. After talking to him for a while, I really didn't care what he saw. He completely relaxed me, and said whatever we see, we'll take care of it. And it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought. If dentist's can have bedside manner, Dr. Merriman certainly has it.

I write this review because I have been in the restaurant and bar business for a long time. Customers in my industry rarely take the time to write/call/make good reviews, they only scream when something goes wrong.

If you have perfect teeth, Dr. Merriman is the man for you. If you are anywhere my case, Dr. Merriman is certainly the man for you.

Dr. Merriman repaired a front tooth that had been knocked out in a freak accident at work. We panicked and ended going to first dentist we could find, finding a doc-in-the-box dentist that 'fixed' the broken tooth with a VERY unreal-bluish-obviously-fake front tooth. Devastated,

After trying to live with the 'bluetooth' for a couple of months we started searching for a cosmetic dentist that could fix it. I did a LOT of research. I read 100's of reviews of several dentists in the Atlanta area. Dr. Merriman's portfolio and customer reviews won us over. Not only did he fix the tooth, he exceeded our expectations -- so much so that even after we left Marietta, moving from Georgia to North Carolina, we have and will continue to make the 200+ mile one-way-trip to see Dr. Merriman -- which should speak volumes in and of itself. He's an expert in the dentistry field -- his work is art. He is the ONLY cosmetic dentist I would recommend!
