This was my first time hiking the trail, and I loved it. The facility at the parking area was clean. The trail is well maintained. The informational placards along the trail were a pleasant surprise.

Visitor center is really nice. Has a short film about the battle I found pretty touching. They have a first rate museum with a lot of items that are significant to the battle and Sherman’s campaign to capture Atlanta. There did not seem to be a lot in the way of interpretation on most of the trails other than a few plaques, but the visiting the “Dead Angle” and knowing what happened there is a really sobering experience.

Historical places are always a great place to find inspiration and reflection. There were some interesting lessons here along the self guided trails. Lots of walking and running, and families spending time together, while engaging in discussions about nature and history.
We will co.e and spend more time here on our next trip to Atlanta.

Super cool outdoor activity. The trail is great for all fitness levels...not too steep or dangerous. Lots of wildlife too!

Sundays best workout ever.
At the peak of the day it was beautiful & amazing to see the skyline from the top of the mountain. Especially when it was storming thru the entire city. Enjoyed my climb with nature's best...

My favorite place to hike in the ATL metro area! Great hike for anyone looking for a challenge and beautiful views. The mountain has several different trails for every hiker. A steeper and less slippery hike then Stone Mountain.

This was my first time going and it's the perfect place to go walking or running. I saw a deer and some pretty cool plants. It's so peaceful along the trails and you become one with nature.

I walk the trails here all the time. They are kept up very well and vary from easy to a little bit of a challenge, depending on which one you choose. Additionally, there are always a good amount of other walkers on the trails so I feel safe if I am out walking by myself.

If you're like me and love a good outdoor adventure with your dogs or family, then you’ll love Kennesaw Mountain. Every trail offers something different, and it's never boring. It's the kind of place where you can just relax and soak up nature while watching the deer ❤ Definitely a must-visit if you're into enjoying the great outdoors without going too far from home.

Can't really go wrong at a national park, but this one is spectacular. Bring the kids and spend the day hiking to the mountain ( you can take the trail or road or drive up the road). There are several trails with various levels of difficulty.

Bring some good hiking shoes.

The park office is open 9am - 5pm daily. The bathrooms are open from 7:30am - 8pm.

Bring water and some snacks.

Lots of civil war memorabilia, cannons, signs, etc, and more to see in the visitor center.

No charge to walk the trails or hike the mountain. We've brought our kids here many times over the years and they always have a blast. Pets (leashed) are welcome.

Loved my time up there. Nice challenging hike up the mountain and really cool to see some history along the way. Gorgeous sites seeing around the metro area. This area is so green. And despite it being quite hot and sunny that day it stayed cool most of the trek along the trail as trees surround you most of the way. Worth the trip up. Can't wait to go back to complete the hike from one side to the other and back

Only 5$ for parking and can be handled online/ QR code or free with the national park pass. I took the 'short' path that went straight up the side. Definitely recommend proper shoes. Its a steep workout. Rocks and roots will getchya. Most of the trail i took up was shaded luckily.. I decided to walk down the paved road- opting out of roots and rocks- i enjoyed the peaceful stroll down with amazing views!
Cars drove by respectfully. Restrooms in the visitor were well kept. Make required if you're not fully vaccinated.

Wonderful park with trails for any level of hiking. Love the paved road that leads close to the top of Kennesaw Mountain. I recommend using All Trails to see all the park has to offer.
