Hessen Antique is an amazing website for any collectors or reenactors, they have high quality items at a reasonable price unlike other websites like at the front which has good quality but their prices are way too high. I have used Hessen Antique for all of my re-enacting uniforms and every time they surprise me with their amazing quality and also how fast they ship their orders, which is typically within a day or two. Hessen Antique is an incredible website and they have really friendly customer service, any time I’ve ever had a problem I have used their chat feature and I’ve had it resolved very quickly and easily. Ordered a pair of jackboots with marching straps, Quality is top notch! Had some minor troubles understanding the shipping/tracking process as I am in Canada, but everything arrived in a reasonable amount of time without issue. Outstanding customer service, responded quickly and were extremely helpful with any questions.

While looking around for surplus Flak Vests I came across Hessen Antiques store page. I found the exact vest (for my collection) I was looking for and at a great price, compared to others of the sort. I quickly ordered it with 2nd day shipping to boot. After my order had been placed I got an email stating that the Vest was located in another warehouse from the primary shipping point, and that it would not arrive on schedule. The customer service representative offered a refund, But I choose to bide my time. After about two days I got a call from the same service representative (a very kind and professional person) about my orders shipping. Because of my proximity to the actual Hessen Antique store, It would be quicker to have it shipped by USPS Ground rather than by air. I was very happy to be contacted about this, as it would save time for my order, and was the logical choice of action (I neglected to realize how close I was to the actual store). I was even refunded the 2nd day air shipping cost. I am very happy with the service provided by Hessen Antique, Their representatives are professional and courteous. I now have the store page bookmarked and will be making more orders as time goes on.

I am extremely happy with my order and the quality. I have to be honest that I initially had some hesitation and mixed feelings on ordering through them because of various mixed opinions / reviews about merchandise and change of quality. From what I understand, this company does the best they still can (which is getting more difficult) to obtain the most authentic reproductions of many German era and apparel. There have been some numerous complaints about quality changes over the years by some, however I do not believe this to be the fault of the owners and that they still try to source the highest quality options. Everything I ordered including a cap and some Knight Crosses and the Ribbons were 100% to the details and quality that they appeared in the images. This is something very rare to find especially nowadays. In fact, some previous reproduction items I have owned including the Knight / Iron Crosses have been much lower quality even down to the ribbons from other reproduction companies I've ordered from. These versions had much richer color and were more vibrant than past reproductions I own which I have even paid a higher price for. Everything was packaged very well and securely.

Sometimes I wonder if a lot of the complaints this company received may be due to not reading some of the details on the condition of the products they order. I am planning on ordering again from them very soon. There are very few companies that produce or operate as reputable purveyors of German WW1 / WW2 apparel and accessories even in the reproduction market. There are only several of them in Europe which are reputable, and after doing research I have found that Hessen Antique also obtains a lot from these sources. If you live in the US especially, I think this may be the best company to order from and with the best value.

Products were exactly as stated, fast shipping and great prices! Ordered 2 East German surplus belts and will work perfectly for my EDC purposes

If you’re into reenacting or just a collector this is the place to get your gear, specifically German militaria. I got basically my entire WW1 kit from these fellas and I’d recommend them to anyone. Competitive prices, great inventory, and fast shipping....what more do ya need?

Been a customer for years. Never had a disappointing product everything from reproduction, to surplus is all top notch. Not sure who the owner is, but I'd totally take him/her out for a romantic dinner, and even call them back the next day. Cheers.

This place is a history collectors paradise, I have been looking for MONTHS for a M32 complete uniform with the medals I have been looking for and this place has ALL OF IT I will definitely continue to order from here for months onwards and hope to visit the actual place very soon
