Marlai Thai Cuisine

Working on a recommendation my daughter and I visited Marlai Thai Cuisine. Parking was very easy and accommodating. We parked in the very front of the restaurant on the main road. From the outside the restaurant looked very clean and inviting. We were greeted and seated very friendly and were made to feel extremely welcome. A young polite girl working helped us with some great recommendations from the menu. The food was extremely delicious and the recommendations were spot on. We both enjoyed our meals and will definitely be bringing back friends and family with us again and again. There is a Thai restaurant closer to my house but this is hands down at the top of my list and my new favorite. Before we left we had the surprising opportunity and pleasure to meet the owner who was a very friendly welcoming gentleman. It is easy to see that this restaurant is successful for many reasons. I'm sure it is a staple of the community.

Amazing thai food experience, best to dine in and make sure to make your presence known at the door so you are seated.( this place is very busy) My whole family went..you can have a traditional thai dinner experience as they have the facilities and cater to large parties as well.
Great food for the price ( fed family of four with appetizers, drinks, and dessert for about 100 dollars.

Great Thai food with good service. I ordered out so can’t comment on what it’s like to eat there but they were ready when I arrived and everyone was friendly.

I’m so grateful Marlai has been open after so many years. I remember getting food from here over a decade ago. Sadly I moved away, but I was in the area and ordered the chicken Bangkok noodles and Rama tofu. They taste the exact same as when I was a child, which I consider a good thing because it was good back then and it’s still good now! Very delicious Thai food.

I get takeout from here all the time and it's always excellent! The times I've dined in the service was very quick

Wow, food was outstanding, some of the best Thai food I've had in Seattle! Kind of an obscure location with an unassuming exterior, but it's easy to enjoy the food! Only four stars on service, decent but not spectacular on a sleepy Sunday afternoon. Definitely recommended!

Incredible experience, delightful presentation and inside decor, great value for money I don’t know what people are talking about. Maybe it’s because they are all takeout orders and we dined in, but this place is a hidden gem I kid you not. You will be spoiled eating here, and no tummy ache after, food is quality.

Great service and great food! We were surprised by raisins in the Pineapple fried rice, but luckily I like raisins well enough to eat them anyway.

Nice service! Good employee. Although at first sight, the statue is kind of intimidating because we though it would be extremely expensive. But they have a very nice interior design.

The food was good and the price was very reasonable. Everyone was super nice their and the owner even helped me with my homework. Highly recommend this place.

My family and I often eat here. The food is very tasty and healthy, the service is always friendly. During Covid they have allowed for take-out only thus far which makes us feel very safe. We are so grateful to have this gem nearby!

Extremely delicious curry and orange beef. We are excited to have some of the sauce left over and we are going to cook some shrimp and vegetables and mix it up and have a second meal.

Best Pad Thai that I've ever had. When they add spice, they mean business. If you're sensitive to spicy foods, ask for zero. My friend ordered their green curry to be a 2 and it was borderline too hot for me.

We love Marlai Thai and have been going there for years. I don't understand the bad service reviews; we have never had a problem. Our menu favorites: I could live forever on their Mongolian Beef and Avocado Chicken Curry. We also really like the Tom Yum Gum soup, the crab wontons, the chicken with spinach & peanut sauce (Rama Rong Song, I think) and the always great Pad Thai.

Excellent food with very friendly service. The veggie fresh rolls are awesome. The 3 star spice could have been a bit more spicy. All around a good spot.

Okay it isn't really 5 stars but it was much better than I expected so it gets a surprise star. Friendly but not doting service, I sat after a large party but received excellent food quickly, close to a theater but still good.

I have loved Marlai for years! The atmosphere is so refreshing - a welcome lunch break from stressful work days. I am retired now but jump at any chance to meet friends there. Excellent menu, consistently delicious food and fabulous wait staff.

Very tasty phad thai and a wonderful beef penang. Chose #3 for spiciness and was just right. Ordered a Singha Thai beer, a lager that went very well with the food. Courteous and timely service. Fine dining appearance (cloth napkins and table cover), but casual dress was totally acceptable.

This was a favorite restaurant for Bill Gates when he lived in Laurelhurst. And I've been going there myself since 1993. My family and I love it! Heading there now for Sunday evening take out.
