New Orleans East Hospital

I don’t know why this came up under my husband’s name but I was the patient just this week I received wonderful excellent expedient care from the Security Guard to the Check In Clerk to the Triage Nurse to the Emergency Room Doctor who listened to and explained what was going on with me. In an expedient time all in 45 minutes I received a CT SCAN CHEST X-RAY and an MRI followed by Blood Work out of concern to be able to diagnose what was happening with me. When it was decided I would be admitted to the hospital I received a bed in 20 minutes the room was spacious comfortable and clean The floor staff was excellent Nurses PCT’S Housekeeper Admitting Doctor Therapist and Ward Clerk. Whenever I used my call light it was answered immediately and whatever I requested was addressed In regards to the lady who waited in Dr Khans office for 3 hours with her husband for a procedure I have been going to Gastro for 2 years now I have never waited longer than 30 minutes to have my procedure once registered things can occur out of staff control I love this hospital and clinics we as residents of the East community must do more to support our own I love that it’s 5 minutes from my home May God continue to bless and keep each and every one of them. Stuff happens every where learn and exercise patience Job beyond well done ❤❤❤

This hospital is new and clean! The staff are super friendly and they took care of me quickly. The hospital was very easy to get to from the I-10, just exit and turn at the first light on Read Blvd. Parking is free and the location is safe! I loved this hospital so much I went back there the next day to eat in the cafeteria! Wow, food was great and the kitchen and dining areas were sparkling clean.

Let me first start by saying this is my 4th time to this hospital and Emergency Departments since the hospital opened in 2014. I don't remmber ever having a bad experience.
Today I had to come to the Emergency Department after leaving work in Slidell, LA after I became extremely Ill with severe abdominal pain, and vomiting blood. I came to New Orleans East Hospital because it was the closest to me at the time as I was coming back to New Orleans from Slidell. My primary care physician as well as several of my other provider are at Touro Infirmary close to where I live in Uptown New Orleans. Considering my situation and the condition I was in stopping at NOE Hospital was my best option, I'm very glad I did! Upon entering the Emergency Department I was greated and triaged by the triage nurse, then brought directly back to a room. At this point Teddi LPN who would be my primary nurse was at my bedside waiting to assess me, get me on the monitors, do an EKG and Assessment on me. Followed by Kristin RN who accessed my port and got blood work and IV fluids going, at the same time Sherry RN who was in charge was also at the bedside helping get my workup started and making sure everything was stable. By the time Dr. Porter MD came in to see me shortly there after my work up was already complete and waiting on results. Dr. Porter was very diligent is her assessment and treating my symptoms and pain. Upon evaluation it was determined that I needed to be admitted. Overall without question the Emergency Department at New Orleans East Hospital is/was one of the best experiences I've had! Again a huge thank you to,

I had lab work done today at N.O. East hospital and Ms. Tina Marie was exceptional in the care that she displayed with me. She spoke to me like we've known each other forever and I completely forgot I was there doing blood work. She is such a wonderful person and I was glad to have met her. She encompasses the epitome of what a person in her profession should be.... Patient, kind and caring.

I was just discharged from this hospital. I was nervous and scared. But my nurses Christy, Charmaine, Andrea and Brittany, on the 2nd and 4th floor were the best. My nurses took really good care of me. Andrea took the IV tape off without hurting my arm. Shoria in Patient Accounts was very helpful and informative in explaining hospital business to me.. A very caring staff. Thank you all so much.

It would take to long to share my entire experience but i can say my hospital admission and stay there was just fantastic from the time i walked in the ER until the time I was discharged a week later. My experience was so surreal I didn't want to go home. Keep up the excellent work from admission staff to nurses doctors and everyone else.Thank You.

I'm a student volunteer at the hospital and everyday I come in I'm welcomed by the employees I'm with everyday. When I'm working with my co-workers I can see that they take their job serious and love what they do by giving their patients a smile every time they see one.

Checkin is horrible they expect you to sign in on paper when your having an emergency!!!! But overall I’ve been here twice and seen the same doctor, DR IRVIN !! He’s the best of the best over there!!! HE GET DOWN TO THE BOTTOM OF THE PROBLEM, he performs every procedure he feels is necessary, I had covidwas feeling horrible I left his care feelin 100 percent better my son went and was having problems he got down to the bottoms of it!!!! This hospital has horrible reviews but he’s the top of the line DOCTOR there no cap!!! Glad we got treated by him twice! Dr.Irvin and ms aerial. Dr.Irvin is the best!

I want to commend your NOEH for the great care of my mother Marynell. She really appreciated the ER Staff and ICU staff for their wonderful medical and personable knowledge and care. The state of the art equipment and comfort of the hospital and food was very pleasing.

Amazing caring and compassionate staff from the patient registration to NA Dominique, Dr “D”to RN Lisa awesome bedside care I’ve experienced in a long time. May God bless and keep your staff excelling.

Best kept secret in New Orleans!!!! Injured my ankle at work. I was transported to New Orleans East Hospital. Entered the Emergency Room in great pain the staff was extremely professional from the intake staff to the X-Ray technicians. Expecting to wait 4 to 6 hours my injury was assessed and treated within a hour and a half.

While I do not look forward to injuries or sickness I will definitely head from the Westbank where I reside to New Orleans East Hospital.

I would like to thank the professionals for handling my medical care. Truly grateful.

I have been here several times with different family members as well as for myself. The staff is always very nice and professional. The facility is always very clean. I would recommend this facility to anyone! Great providers!!!!

On 3/15/17 My Hubby & I brought our daugter 2 dis hospital she had an asthma attack could breathe & da staff & dr. C. Robinson took care of our baby we want 2 Thank God & da staff & Dr. Robinson. Yall did a Great Job & we Thanks yall so so so much.

I work here and it is a awesome place to work . They go above and beyond to help the patients. We take pride in making sure you get well, great service, and quickly. Everyone here is very friendly. would give 100 starts if i could.

My experience there was great. I was seen in a timely manner and finally felt like the doctor and nurse listened to me (which is more than I can say for a lot of other hospitals around the city)

I love new orleans east hospital. I've gone there atlease 6 times and I've never had a bad experence. Everyone is professional from the time you walk in until you leave out and I hope it never closes.

From out of Town. Anne, jamiesha, Tiffany were extremely professional. The doctor took time and was genuinely concerned.

I been having pain in my stomach on the right side and I went here and found out that I had gallstones so to make a long story short i went here to have surgery to get it removed and Dr, McGee was awesome, she fixed me, so far so good, I'm a business owner and I live in new Orleans east, i don't know why this Hospital has so many bad reviews, some people are hard to please, but my experience wasn't bad at all, i would recommend anyone who needs medical attention to go here.

I had a positive experience during time when I was at the facility in the wound care department I was seen promptly and the staff was friendly and taken care of my situation in a timely manner .
