I walk in, mouth agape. Next thing I know, a Yuma Myotis is headed straight for my face. Before I can react, a Mexican free-tailed swoops from the left, going for my eyes. Both bats are clearly being controlled by employees of this store.

I miraculously escape serious injury when, just as I think the assault is over, an aluminum little league heads straight for my abdomen. I keel over in pain, the air expelled from my lungs. As soon as I catch my breath, I look up to see an Ace Hardware employee staring down at me condescendingly, head shaking and finger pointing to a sign that reads, “Masks Required.”

I can’t help but laugh. Not only am I an animal lover, but I can’t get enough of a good practical joke — especially in today’s society! This place gets two thumbs up from me. I’ll be back next time I’m in need of some old-fashioned fun!

Shout out to this amazing hardware store, today coming off the freeway from Kirkland our upper radiator hose burst and the car started over heating... we pulled over and called our mechanic who's shop was about 15min away and counting due to traffic 😑. My husband went over to the entrance and was greeted by a very nice gentleman who was very aware and helpful with our situation. He showed him to some tape for a quick fix and even to a water spicket to fill the radiator. Thanks to the Employee who helped my husband out we made it to the shop and got the car running as good as new! He didn't catch your name but thank you from us both!

Great little hardware store right on Rainier Ave by I-90. Has a hundred year old feel inside and staff is friendly/helpful. For an Ace, they have a ton of building materials onsite (wood, insulation, etc.)

Old-fashioned location small hardware store with stuff in bulk and various merchandise.

Small store with a lot if merchandise and a great lumber yard! The staff were both very knowledgeable and patient staff. They were able to help out with 2 cross-questioning folks at the same time.

There are only two local lumber yards left in Seattle, Stewart and Limback. They both carry dozens of products they the big box stores never have. They will deliver and are family owned. Both are worthy of 5 stars. Both carry tons of products other than wood.

Always great being able to go to the local hardware store. Lowe's and home Depot just aren't the same experience.

Called to check if they had the item I needed. Stopped in to pick it up and was greeted by warm and friendly folks.

Lots of items for all of you needs, DIY, or larger.

Nothing like a real good old fashion hardware store: Compact and comprehensive, they have what you need (without walking a mile)

I much prefer shopping at my local hardware store than home Depot. The service is excellent and they know what they are talking about
