Halwo Kismayo Grill

Disclaimer: I'm completely new to Somali cuisine. My friend and I tried both the goat with soor and the chicken katakata. Both tasted great and were great "first timer" dishes, IMO. This place does seem to keep busy (we dined-in there on a Friday night; the katakata came out way ahead of the goat), but my friend and I weren't pressed for time and the staff was very nice.

It’s a nice place to get fast food when you are tired from cooking and you can get delicious meals that you can remember in your past days in Africa 😜

Delicious food and very friendly people! Our food took some time to come out and the cashier came out to apologize and gave us some fried triangular pastries(?) that had meat, veggies, and spices on the house. Everything was fresh and made to order. Great service and yummy food, highly recommend!

Great restaurant. I’ve door dashed a few times and the rice and chicken is delicious. $15 for a meal that takes me a day and half to eat. You can find the best authentic Somali restaurant in Seattle here. Well done Hawla Kismayo & Grill!

Kata kata beef was the most delicious thing I've eaten in a very long time. Perfect blend of savory and spicy and the mango Lassi just pairs perfectly with it in every way. Super affordable too. Easily a favorite place.

Everyone there was very kind, definitely the counter lady! Their breads were very good and will be back to try out more things!

Had a great meal and an even greater experience thanks to this very modest East African restaurant. It was our first time there, but the service, food, and ambiance ws exceptional and left a long lasting impression. You can tell they make their food with pride and serve it with love and care. It was a great experience for all of us. My wife, two kids, sister in law, niece and I thoroughly enjoyed our food and our time here at Halwo Kismayo & Grill. Despite how restricting covid can be, it's places like this that really help remind you to live a little, try new things, and forget about all your worries. Hakuna matata and asante sana!

Best Somali Restaurant in Seattle plus the ladies customers service is exceptional, always on point and their staff is always friendly and super clean place. American comfort food Philly cheesesteaks, burgers, wings + the usual rice and chicken and is halal, they are very welcoming and the food is great! It's my new joint.

This probably one of the best eateries in town all there food is served and made soon as you order it's not expensive at all they offer foods from all over delicious and it's only getting better I love it five stars

Very nice place and very good service is the best place to eat and you can find sweet and also wedding and other holidays you can order fast and very professional.

We stopped in to grab a bite on our way through and it was delicious! The staff was friendly and helpful and had our food ready got off the grill!
