This is a good school, I also moved away because of this, I am a Chinese, the teachers in order to teach me English is very caring for me, the students are also very good, but also mutual respect, this is a good school, people can not deny that

My mom went to the school and I loved it just as much as any other school I went to. I love the teachers I love the students and I love the classes they give.

Some of the teachers are rude to the students and no one (that includes just about everyone) is respectful to each other (which I hope some day will change) the school is OK but it has its low points but it also has so high points

I just started sixth grade and I was one of the many kids to be the first sixth graders at Cedar. After spending first year there I had a horrific experience. They have a great staff team but honestly you can really never learn anything. The teachers don't know how to control the kids and it always results in a very disruptive learning environment. The teachers are really bad at getting things graded in a timely manner also. We have way too much freedom. I myself or anyone else who goes to Cedar can't walk down a single hallway without seeing people making out or feeling each other up. Honestly it is disgusting. The school has really fallen downhill. There are so many drug dealers and other bad kids that I don't even feel safe in a supposedly "well-protected classroom". The adults at school don't give appropriate punishment for bad actions. There are a lot of self- harming people and depressed faces also. Bullying is a very big problem. As a kid who basically just got to Cedar and already wants to leave I would not recommend this school at all. Not even to my worst enemy. As an update I am in my seventh grade year and it has only gotten worse. Overcrowding is a serious issue. I can't even spread my arms without touching another kid. I can't learn in one of my classes due to lack of teaching skills and student control issues so I expressed my concerns to an administer and they did absolutely even though other students have come forward with similar statements. Some of the classrooms don't even meet basic safety requirements. Most classrooms don't even have a fire extinguisher. I have also expressed that concern and it was ignored. None of the staff except for a select few have done anything to make classes and the school itself feel safe. Cedar is horrible. So if you really care about your kids you wouldn't send them here.

Cedar Heights is an awful school in almost every way. It's one of the worst schools I've ever went to in my opinion. Some of the teachers try way too hard to encourage their students, and some don't even know how to teach. A lot of them make learning a pain. I never had any fun at this school. I never really learn't anything at this school. A lot of the kids here exhibit toxic behavior. Some of them would go as far as swearing in front of the teachers. Most of the time, the teachers would ignore it. I’ve seen police cars and fire trucks at this school. I’ve heard rumors that the reason the vehicles were there was because some kids actually harmed themselves, though I’m not exactly sure if that is true. I’ve seen fights and some kids practicing drug behavior. Honestly, the students here deserve better. I would not recommend this school to anyone.
