Zions Gate Records

this is my favorite record store that I’ve ever been to. they were playing such great music that I ended up asking them what band was playing and buying the record! the man who talked with us was super knowledgable and passionate. their categorization was very organized and they had tons of my favorite smaller bands. I will definitely be back.

The best record store I've ever been to. I like it even better than Amoeba Records! They know music and all of their music is curated and labeled meticulously. Staff was immensely knowledgeable and helpful.

They even had the new Cemetery Souls track, Machines Cry Too, playing which was awesome! 🤩

5 stars even though I didn’t found what I was looking for (some rare metal CDs). I’ve been to few record stores around Downtown Seattle and this one feels most comprehensive. Lots of vinyls, CDs, tapes, all genres, special editions, imports, limited versions, t-shirts, collectibles etc. Owner knows his stuff (and music), very helpful.

Amazing record store with so much selection for the modern music fan! Not your typical record store with a bunch of old stuff. They have old stuff as well though! Could have easily walked out with 10 records.

I enjoyed browsing this place immensely. If you’re a metal fan, the selection is absolutely incredible, but I found interesting discs in many genres. It’s a tight fit but I found I was too interested in browsing to really find it all that inconvenient, the customers were polite, and that made getting around the store much easier. I look to forward to visiting again soon. I bought a couple discs and will probably get at least a couple on my next visit.

About as densely packed a music store as you can get! Tons of CDs (metal especially) and a bunch of records too to keep you busy hunting for something cool. Definitely grittier feeling than other music stores in the area but that's a perfectly reasonable vibe for me!

Best metal selection I've ever seen in a record shop. The staff is friendly so don't feel like you're not cool enough to talk to them. They're knowledgeable and kind.

Incredible selection of many genres of vinyl with an emphasis on metal. Any time I am in Seattle I make this one of my stops and NEVER walk away empty handed.

Everything I want in a record store. The lay out was cool, so much of what I wanted, The dude running the till didn't say much (which I liked) no need for small talk, told me he liked the records I picked and I left. I went on a 2 week trip and went to every single record store google had to offer. I wish I would have saved all the money I spent on the other shops and spent every penny I had here. Too bad I found this on the last day of my travels. If you collect metal, punk, hardcore this is the place to go in Seattle. Cant wait to come back !

Massive collection of concert tees, hard to find genres, best metal records selection in Seattle. Little pricey, but that's the neighborhood.

This place is awesome. The owner is really friendly and there is a diverse selection of albums available for most listeners. Rap, metal, pop, etc. Really awesome place.

These sales people have knowledgeable experience and respect for each person’s journey through music. They answered all my queries and questions and shipped everything to my home. How nice is that??!!
Overall the shop is organized and clean with rare vinyl finds, remixes, compilations and out of print copies… amazing! I can’t wait to visit again

Update 5 years later, still groovy. They were more than accommodating when one of my purchases had an issue. Great selection. Always worth stopping in.

Every time I visit Seattle I go to this record shop. They have a great selection. Especially on metal, my genre. Staff is helpful, knowledgeable and super friendly. They help me occasionally with requests and so on. Pricing wise it is a brick and mortar shop so it can be higher that online; however you can hold, inspect items and get a great service/experience not available online.

Don't sleep on this place because of the size they had a little of everything and it was organized... Found a very obscure comp CD I've been looking for forever

This is a great record store. The vibe is energetic and welcoming. The vinal is well cataloged making it easy to go through the collection quickly. This store has it all. The best selections of Punk and Hard-core in the area. I will be back
