I really enjoy working with this county. The staff is professional and answered all my questions. They even email me when plans are approved and if there are any comments, explain it detail so I can address them. This is one of the best counties to permit in.

Staff is really great and helpful. Everyone I spoke to was incredibly knowledgeable, or honest when they need to search for a better answer. Permit application process was smooth and understandable.

Super helpful. I had to pick up several permits that day, and it was nice to have helpful, smiling ladies helping me, as well as the soft comfy chairs to sit in while waiting for the permits.

Scheduled to come look at a recently installed unit. I took off a day of work because apparently all they can give you is that they’ll be there between 8:30 and 4. Never knocked on my door never left a note, never called. just sat here all day waiting for them and apparently they showed up at some point inspected my unit and just left. Maybe they didn’t even get out of their car idk. I live in quite a small home so really had to sneak up here. But Thanks. I have to go to work to pay for your Salary and I could have been at work after or before whoever you were showed up. Thanks for literally wasting my whole day. I’m wildly frustrated. Glad I can’t even rely on my local government to give me even the most basic decency’s….whoever you were you suck

The mechanical inspector is very rude and unwilling to work with homeowners. It is very sad that he is inspecting things by code that is 30 years old. He gave us a list to correct and we got it done by the next day. However he still refuses to inspect our heating and air and says we have to wait the weekend (for no good reason other than he doesn't feel like doing it on a Friday). We have 3 children in the house amd have waited all week to be insepected because of weather and the holiday. They definetly dont care and its a shame. Buncombe county has never treated us this way nor required the absurd inspection that this guy has. Our heating and air company has been in buisness 30 years and said theyvr never heard of such craziness with an inspection. Im very disheartened with how the inspector of hendersonville treat their fellow townsman. The bad thing is they don't care and we have to accept it. It's a shame because our children have to suffer because this man chooses to be cruel! It's very sad that they allow this to happen in their office.
