City Cat Vet Clinic

City Cat was the best experience me or my kitty have ever had at the vet. Henry loved the cat window perch they have in the exam room and seemed less scared because no dog smell was in the room. The Doctor was knowledgeable, kind and gentle with Henry. I asked tons of questions and they answered all of them. We even left with a sample of catnip the Dr grows and a toy new patients get to pick out.

Incredibly kind Dr. and staff, treated my cat with much respect and care. Front desk was very thorough and helpful. My cat is doing much better now.

It doesn’t look like a traditional vet office, it’s warm and friendly. It also has a little humor as well. They were able to help my cat same day which can be difficult to find. Prices were very reasonable. Would highly recommend.

One of the best vets I’ve been to for my fur babies, wellworth a 50 mile drive for me. Dr. Castor is very knowledgable and the entire staff are amazing with great communication. Does not overly charge for exams/treatment and my experience is that they provided the needed care/treatment that is best for the cats. I feel very fortunate to have found City Cats! Highly recommend.

City Cat helped my mom and I as our ailing 16 year old tortie came down with chronic renal disease, then a heart problem, and finally a neurological problem that led us to the heart-wrenching decision of putting her to sleep. I have been blessed to have had many cats in my life, but never so blessed until now to find such an extraordinary and exceptional place for veterinary care. The entire “house” is designed for a cat’s comfort—from the perched on the window sills, to the toys in the rooms, to the general serene ambiance of the place. Dr. Castor clearly has an exceptional knowledge of and relationship with cats—she’s gentle and quiet and gets down on the floor to their level to create a non-threatening space for them. She’s equally good with the humans involved—answering difficult questions and doing her best to try to help the cat enjoy a good quality of life until that is no longer possible. And when it is not? She and her team provided the sweetest, most loving pain-free passage for our cat as possible. As hard as it was to let go, they let us know we were doing the best possible for her. On top of everything, they sent us a handwritten card, and provided the sweetest cast print of our cats paw that you could possibly imagine. We donated a lot of the specialty food and medication back to them and they were able to share it with their low-income clients, further helping us to heal. I plan to be one of those people who visits Winston, the clinic cat, whenever possible, because he’s a doll and these people feel good to be around. They’re simply the best. And I promise you, I am not exaggerating. If you want the best for your cat, this is the place to go. Thank you, Cat City! ❤🐾

I had a few concerns about my cats’ health and the vet gave me several solutions. Following their feeding instructions and changing food brands to what they suggested has significantly improved the health and behavior of my cats.

She was also very gentle and I really appreciated that she gave them their shots with me in the room while they ate treats rather than took them away to do something scary by themselves :’)

Not to mention, a charming homey space with a little window spot for cats to sit during their appointment. Had a great visit here. Thank you.

Dr. Aimee Castor is a wonderful and thorough vet who took the time to investigate issues that other vets had dismissed. My extra spicy cat, who had warnings on her file at other vets' offices, loved her and actually behaved for her. Dr. Castor has a calming presence with cats, and the office is a comfortable environment for them. I appreciated her kindness and care when my cat was nearing the end of her life. The staff was always excellent to work with as well, and I highly recommend this clinic.

What a wonderful staff this is! Recently I’ve been going through financial hardship, and Dr. Castor and the staff were so accommodating of me, giving me antibiotics and other treatments for Disco without ever having to bring her into the office since I don’t have the money for it. Me and my kitty, Disco, have been to doctor Castor a few times and each time she’s been so thoughtful, thorough, and understanding of Discos sassiness towards her by being in a new environment. This is the first review I’ve ever written! I just wanted to say that it means the world to me, and your kitty will be in GREAT hands here. :)

I don't know of any other clinic where the examine rooms are soothing and quaint, perfect for your cat to explore and loose some fear. Dr. Castor and all the technicians were so friendly and caring. Their advice was thoughtful and unhurried.

So happy with my experiences. Genuinely incredible advice for behavioral issues that solved all my problems with my young cat, and my cats were both much more comfortable in the offices than in other clinics. The sweetness and gentleness of both Dr. Castor and her techs was unparalleled. I couldn't recommend them more!

Very kind knowledgeable and gentle with my cat who gets very anxious in unfamiliar spaces. Very cat-focused space. I like that I could sit on the floor with my cat and that there were ways for her to hide and feel safe in the room while we waited for the vet. At the end of the appointment they gave us a mouse toy that was rolled in catnip and she loves it

We decided to switch veterinary offices since our previous office was in West Seattle. However, we didn't realize the level of care, patience, and attention that was missing from our last provider. Dr. Castor answered all of the questions we had regarding our cat and even spent time teaching us about various food options! We never felt rushed and our cat Momo even started to fall asleep on the window perch. I'm so glad we found an office that provides a safe and comfortable environment!

The vet listened to my concerns, did a thorough examination and was able to provide appropriate treatment. The entire exam was geared towards making sure my cat was comfortable and not spooked or anxious.
I've gone through several other vets who were polite enough but ignored my concerns and basically told me that my cat puking multiple times a day, having matted fur and losing half his body weight was nothing to be concerned with and totally normal. Come to find out he had undiagnosed thyroid and kidney problems that had been completely missed and could have been easily treated. I've lived in Seattle for nearly a decade, this is the first clinic I've taken my cats to where I felt like they cared about my cats' outcome.
Could not recommend this place highly enough.

My cat Clyde loved this place! I took him in for an exam and shots. The veterinarian spent a good amount of time with him and interacted with him in a manner that made him feel comfortable. It was the first time he ever left the vet happy. We moved out of state and will miss this place a lot.

My cats are repeat patients of City Cat and each visit Dr. Castor and her team provide a platinum level of care. Dr. Castor is experienced advising on a broad range of illnesses, provides test results by email including thorough explanations of diagnoses, and answers follow up questions timely. One of my cats doesn’t like being examined and is extremely difficult to handle. Dr. Castor is patient and empathetic with him and is able to perform an exam/tests that other vets aren’t able to accomplish. I highly recommend Dr. Castor and her team to those considering a visit. She is the best vet I’ve come across in the Seattle area.

Dr Castor is the cat whisperer. I don’t think I’ve seen a vet bond so quickly with our furry friend. Often GI problems are not a quick diagnosis and they take time to find progress. We talked thru what I had seen and some ideas, I feel like we have made a collective plan and will be back in coming weeks/months as we see results.
I appreciate the relaxed atmosphere and cat only focus. Ohh and the easy parking in cap hill!

They are always honest and willing to help. Cat City Vet went above and beyond to help me find a diagnosis for my kitty. All our cats go there and I always recommend them. The vets and staff here are committed to their jobs and always take time to cater to each pets needs.

In a time when many veterinary clinics are closing or not able to accept new patients, it is wonderful to have a vet such as Aimee Castor who works long hours to respond to the clients for whom she has cared. Dr. Castor has cared for our two cats since they were kittens. She is wise in knowing what procedures are necessary to prevent disease as well as cure issues. We admire her professional integrity.

Great experience. My cats were calm and more friendly of strangers than I've seen them. Very quick and professional. Communicated well and gave options of care. I would definitely use again.
