East African restaurant

It was the second time I eat here. It’s a simple restaurant and i like its authenticity. The staff/owner offered us 2 bottles of water and one extra “wrap” because my sister and I were sharing the delicious combo. It’s very kind of him. I was happy to tip him for his hospitality. Certainly will go back and try other menu items.

They didn't have dine in tonight, but take out was perfect. Dining room was plain, felt like a neighborhood dive which can be fun in itself, a pocket of local culture in the midst of Tukwila. Got the Ethiopian Combination dinner, a yummy lentil dish, spicy rich chicken (doro wat?), and a savory spinach on the usual, and delicious, injera. Also had some chicken "samosas" (don't know what the Ethiopian term would be) that were crispy and fresh with sweet onions and tender chicken as appetizers. Such a delicious feast to carry to our B&B a 10 minute walk away. Also stopped in the little Ethiopian market next door and bought some mixed spices for chai and tef flour to make injera at home. Fed 5 of us for $55. Would go back again for sure.

Incredible authentic African cuisine! Small cafe, not a fancy restaurant. Great service, free parking. Not well marked from the outside. Two minutes from the airport! Order pick up or dine in. Lots of food for less than $20!!!! Small Combo meal shown in photo. Please keep this incredible place open so we can enjoy it again! Breakfast menu looked incredible too!

Was greeted friendly and the food was fantastic. The tea with spices is delicious. I was feeling like I was in a friends home. Was my first time trying the food and amazing beef, chicken and fall off the bone lamb. Flavored very well. The rice was really good also. When in the area I will come here.

Accommodating to our needs and a lot more.

No menu. Just random search and came here for breakfast. No menu and even no restaurant names. Food is special, and ginger tea is great. Got a complimentary fried triangle in the food glass cabin. Delicious and an adventure!

Properly excellent food. Authentic. Tasty. Good value.

Also clearly the hangout for the local community, which is nice to see.

I chose this restaurant based on reviews and we were not disappointed. We shared an injera platter (lamb) and a goat and rice plate. The meat was so flavorful and was fall-off-the-bone tender. Portions were very generous and full of flavor. Service was great as well. Will definitely return.

Another fantastic little hole in the wall with GREAT food! The menu isn't big, but the food is great! Try the fish pastries! 😁

A great place for injera, Muslim-owned with halal food! Must try!

This place is unmarked like what others have said. It is right next to the grocery store on the corner. There's plenty of parking most times but there is construction going on so you might find a lot of the parking taken by construction workers.

We already knew what we wanted when we came in. I asked for injera and showed them a photo from their Google listing. I've seen some people say there's no menu, but there are photos of the menu posted so you just have to ask.

After we ordered, the wait was not long. I also got a tea with milk. Everything was delicious. The beef suqaar is a bit spicy but it was just the right amount of spice for me. You might want to ask them to add less if you can't handle heat.

Definitely coming back to try the other dishes. I can tell they take pride in their dishes in the quality of their food.

Super authentic and delicious. The injera platter (chicken) is bursting with flavor. I lived briefly in Ethiopia and am usually underwhlemed when I eat beyaynetu in the US. This place really hits the spot.

Excellent food, I felt like I was back in Africa! It was just an amazing experience! It's hard to find as there isn't a sign but it's right next door to the store. The staff is wonderful and very nice. And they definitely give you large portions! Great place to eat!

My mother and I very much enjoyed this dinner, the first East African food I've had in maybe five years and it did not disappoint! What we were looking for and more. Loved the Samoli tea too!

I loved eating here. Food was great and people were super friendly.

The food was so delicious, and the service was impeccable. At first they thought they were out of fish, but once we got our food, a plate of wonderful salmon was brought out to me after they found some. Generous portions and great care in this place.

I've seen on some reviews that there was no menu; well, now there is! There is a nice menu.

10/10. Beyond delicious. Every restaurant of any cuisine would be lucky to be this good. Got the injera meal and it was out of this world. I’ll never look at collards or lentils the same way again. No frills. No atmosphere. Just good food. Eat here people.

Man, this restaurant is about as close as you can get to eating in a foreign country. We were the only clients there speaking English and my daughters were the only females. (Females apparently eat next door at the grocery). Important to know that there is no sign on the front of the restaurant. The lamb injera and kobo kobo were outstanding. The chicken injera is very different from the lamb and not as good to us, but still very enjoyable.

We ordered the Kota-Kota with chicken and the Injera Combo platter with beef plus four hot teas. Everything was delicious and it was the perfect amount of food for four adults. Total with tip was $48

There is a menu but you need to ask for it, the staff expects that you know what to order but is happy to provide a menu. We just asked the server for their recommendations on dishes and quantities. Perfect judgement on both.

This is a local hole in the wall with no signage out front. The clientele were all African besides us. Very nice fun social energy.

We were in and out within 40 minutes, perfect for before you catch a flight. We will absolutely be back.

Incredible food and extremely generous portions. As others have said it was a little hard to find (it is between a market and a cell phone store) but the food was delicious!

There is no menu-such a great adventure! Tell them what you are in the mood for... Ethiopia or Somalia food of course. Great Kenya tea with cardamom and ginger. They took good care of me, and I'll be back!
