Hands down, these are the best pancakes I have tasted! I usually don't care for pancakes but they made my heart and tummy sing. The croissants sandwich hit the spot. It was cheesy, gooey, buttery, and savory. Their bloody Mary was full of flavor and spices. I plan to revisit next time return to Grapevine. Waitstaff and manager were attentive ❤

Our first time. We were met at the door and explained how it works. Here's how it works. You can look at a menu which is located in a box to your left, decide what you want, then go to the counter and order. Food was very good and service excellent. I had the American Burger w/ fries cooked medium well which it was. The taste was awesome! Wife had the Steak Bowl which she enjoyed immensely. I had a taste, it was great. Dessert was Gluten free strawberry cake. Couldn't tell it was gluten free, great taste. She had Lemon Cream Cake. Great flavor and the berries were not rich like it looks. Mild sweetness. Really a great place to eat and we will definitely go back when we are in the area.

First time eating at a Black Walnut Cafe. Very nice experience. Got the Brussel sprouts appetizer, Mediterranean Chicken and a glass of Chardonnay. Flavors were perfect and all the food was fresh. My friend got the chocolate martini & it was tasty.

First time visiting, and I'll definitely be back! The food was absolutely amazing. I split the chicken and waffles, spinach dip, and broccolini with my daughter (who eats like an adult), and it was plenty! You order and pay at the counter, and go find a table. I almost didn't add a tip because I thought it was all self-serve, but I'm glad I did because they bring it all out to you and clean up after. It's a bit pricey for a cafe, but the food is worth it. Although the broccolini was a bit bland, the sundried tomatoes helped.

Great spot ! First time experiencing this amazing hot spot with an awesome general manager assisting us the whole way! Mr Marvin was awesome ! I got the lobster pasta and it was mind blowing ! The sangria was off the chain! Will be back !

This spot is pretty close To where I live, and I was shocked at how good their food taste. I tried their three-course menu and a couple of drinks.
It's worth every penny spent.

It was my first time visit in this cafe. The atmosphere was really great, cozy and serene. The staffs were really cooperative and friendly. Foods were very flavourful then many other American restaurants. They have lots of options like bowl, burger, taco, pasta and many more to choose which is really great. It would be really great if they add some vegetarian options on their menu.

Worth for there 3 course for 25$ for appetizers, main course and dessert

I had a great time with a few friends at this location. It's spacious and bright with a few seating options including covered outdoor seating.

I enjoyed and highly recommend the Texas Breakfast. It's a good middle of the road breakfast meal that's just enough food. I also highly suggest the Mimosa Flight if you're a champagne person. It's quite delicious.

Overall, a great experience.

Words do not do justice regarding how excellent the food is here! I ordered my food togo during my lunch break and the service here was phenomenal! The host was very kind and asked me if I'd like anything while I was waiting for my food. I asked for a water and they provided one right away.

The moondoggie cookie, the ultimate bacon burger, and my iced latte were on point. The atmosphere was very professional, yet relaxing at the same time.

We'll definitely be back! I'll bring my wife along with me as well! Family friendly and good vibes all around! Would highly recommend seeing for yourselves!

Came back for more! Couldn't resist! Delicious as always!

Visited on a Saturday morning and immediately greeted at the door by a polite employee who informed us how the restaurant worked and answered any questions we had, considering it was our first time. We ordered the big plate 2.0 (which consisted of pancakes, eggs, bacon, and potatoes) and the creole shrimp omelette (subbed in egg whites and cheddar cheese). Both dishes were very tasty and filling. We also ordered the mimosa flight and the watermelon cucumber martini. So good! It’s self seating, reasonably priced, and everything came out fast. Highly recommend.

To say the food was amazing and service was impeccable would be an understatement!!! We are new to the area and recently moved to Coppell TX from Chicago and walking into this establishment we were greeted by Marvin the manger with so much joy and excitement to help us learn how to order! He was absolutely incredible, he walked us through the process and gave suggestions, which we ordered and the food and service was excellent!!! I definitely will be coming back and bringing all my Chicago guests.

From the moment I walked in this place, it was nothing but a good experience. I was greeted by a courteous welcome from Jahlynn and her helpful review of the ordering process.

One thing that really made a great impression though….and in all actuality, was the thrust behind writing this review in the first place…was that, while I was placing my order, I inquired as to how sweet the tea was running that day.

And upon hearing me, the manager, Antoine, without hesitation said, “well, let’s find out”. He then proceeded over to the beverage station and fixed me a sample glass of the iced tea for me to taste test.

That simple kind of responsiveness and attention to even a deceptively small detail like that, can elevate an otherwise routine visit to a positively memorable experience.

And finally to round out the experience, then there was Chiem, who provided extremely courteous and helpful service throughout my meal.

I know that generally speaking, any given restaurant is only as good as its management and the respect that the staff has in them. It’s that genuine desire to sign on to that manager’s approach to elements of great customer service, that makes them WANT to make the customer experience something above ordinary. And something that actually makes the customer feel looked after and valued. I just hope that Black Walnut recognizes how lucky they are to have a staff like this.

Oh, and PS, the food was also quite delish ! I thoroughly enjoyed the Santa Fe Salad. It was nicely dressed and generously portioned. I recommend getting a side of their chipotle aïoli to drizzle over the top!

PRO TIP: Use the accompanying spear of perfectly prepared garlic bread to swab out the last of the dressing from the ramekin of aïoli!

Since they opened their doors some years ago, this place has been a great choice for breakfast and lunch. With many options with twist of Mexican dishes, it is a delight for the mouth. Try Birria enchiladas, you would not regret it.

Very nicely managed loved the experience the drinks were so good @ the food even better!! You have to try! Breakfast is better than Ihop more adult atmosphere which I appreciated on a kid filled Sunday! Something for the grown folks. Loved it!. Felt very welcomed definitely coming back for more!

What a wonderful experience! Marvin, the general manager, at the Coppell location was all over the place greeting customers and checking on everyone at their tables. I am so impressed. He personally greeted us while we were waiting in line, and then again as we were ordering. He also found time to make it to our table to check on us. I might add that the restaurant was packed! The food was fabulous, and even though our dining room was packed, I could still hear well enough to conduct a business lunch.

The chicken fried waygu steak was delicious. I also tried the Chicken and waffles. The chicken was tender and flavorful. Eggs on top of a Light crispy waffle. The manager was helpful. Cool stop for good bite.

The manager Marvin Thomas was all over the restaurant checking on guest, picking up plates, going above and beyond ..he even personally made our daughter her own mocktail to make her feel special, definitely try the momisa flight it was so good ...we enjoyed the food and the customer service was top notch, we can't wait to come back ! Thank you for a great day!

The food was delicious and the coffee was good. The ambiance is well lit with lots of natural light. Great place for brunch.

Wonderful experience! Great happy hour! The wings were amazing, loved the pot stickers! The Manager Marvin greeted us with an incredible cheese cake surprise! Can’t wait to go back! Lisa the bartender was friendly and gave us excellent service!
