Very happy to have found this place. The menu seems to have been updated from the one shown here on Google maps but still had great options

Service was great, very friendly and attentive, made us feel like we were at home.

The limonada, wow. It's amazing, tastes freshly made, perfectly balanced sweetness to the tartness. And it's a massive glass

We ordered the weekly special which was 3 gorditas with carnitas inside, the gorditas were perfect, they were not too thick and not dry, they could have used a little more meat inside but it was the special.

We also got the Chile relleno, it was really well done the Chile was coated in egg and was fried well so it was crispy and fluffy (not like the usual pancake batter type relleno you see around Texas)

Finally the Barbacoa tacos were very good, the meat was juicy but not greasy and very tasty

Really pleased with the meal and the price

Best place we have eaten in years. The people are friendly they make you feel welcomed. The menudo was great. We took Tamales home, and they are awesome. Good food friendly service and prices are good.

This place is adorable inside with each set of tables and chairs having its own, cute paint job! The food was delicious, and the portions were great!

My child was in a mood, and the staff were still somehow wonderful and friendly. Bless them!

We'll definitely be back!

Best Mexican around and my family is from Mexico! We literally get takeout from there multiple times a week. Their rice and beans are so authentic. Go! You won't be disappointed.

I have had so so many Tex mex and Mexican food here since moving to Texas. The wonderful thing about this place, is how small it is. Friendly and inviting, clean, bathrooms clean, and our server Nelly, was absolutely adorable. And even though there was somewhat of a language barrier, she got it all correct. She was sweet and attentive. Chips were warm and crispy, and the chicken fajita tacos, OMG!! To die for with that fresh cilantro!!! Yum!!! Can’t wait to go back when the cravings hit again!! Thank you for a great afternoon meal with by family.

This restaurant used to have a more interior Mexico menu, but it has now gone full Tex Mex. The food is fantastic and the staff are great! Do yourself a favor - try the spicy salsas.

My wife and I recently moved to Austin from New Zealand, where there is little to no good Mexican food. She can be a picky eater (don’t tell her I said so), so we’ve been on a real spiritual journey trying to find a Mexican restaurant in Austin that she liked. I’m originally from the US, so I grew up with TexMex – but she just hasn’t been a fan. We’ve been to numerous places – Mama Betty’s, Chuys, Matt’s El Rancho, Mi Lindo Michoacan, etc, etc – however she’s never really enjoyed any of them.

Enter Cielito Lindo…

We were served by one of the owners (we asked), and she went above and beyond looking after us. When I asked to know what the different enchilada sauces were, she brought out a sample plate with each sauce on it for us to try. When my wife asked for hot sauce, she brought out two different types of hot sauce along with a bowl of sliced limes. It turns out she nailed what my wife was looking for without her even knowing, as the lime juice really brought the tacos “to another level” in her own words.

The food was simple and delicious. It wasn’t oversalted like so much TexMex is – so if you love salty food you might find it bland. We both felt it was perfect. The meat was cooked to perfection, with the beef in our tacos having a good crispy sear without being burned. The tortillas were delightful, the rice was fluffy and amazing, and the refried beans…..ohhhh the refried beans.

We had come to believe that refried beans were the usual brown mush of baby food with cheese melted on top that we’ve received at every Mexican/Texmex(?) restaurant we’ve been to so far. These refried means were NOT that. They were chunky, with parts of the original beans still present, perfectly seasoned, and an excellent accompaniment to the rest of the meal. It’s the first time my wife and I finished a plate of refried beans….WOW!

If this review sounds ridiculous and over the top, that’s because the food made that much of an impact on our evening. It was delicious - we told the owners it was the best Mexican we ever had, and she lit up with pride. We will definitely be going back, and if you’re tired of all the usual Mexican fare…you should give Cielito Lindo a try.

The food was absolutely fabulous! I had the Chile Relleno which was recommended by my server and it was spot on. The serving was big. Another recommendation of Pastor Street Tacos was had by my mother and she found it fantastic! Recommend highly. Breakfast is served all day so my dad had Huevos Ranchero. He really liked them. We will definitely be back.

Wow what a great meal! So our friendly server told us that they had new owners and were working hard on the menu....so we ordered the Chicken Quesadillas for starters. These were hands down some of the best. The chicken was so juicy and had a wonderful sear. They used their in house tortillas and the guacamole was fresh. I definitely recommend. I got the chicken fried steak with ranchero salsa. Also, one of the best chicken fried steaks I have ever eaten. It is tender and the breading was light and crispy. Their Charro Beans are also very delicious. This is a new favorite for us! Very fresh and very good! They make their corn and flour tortillas in house too!

21 Sept 2021 From the dark, heavy handmade wooden tables and chairs to the pastel walls with distressed chair rail trim and intricate stencils the feeling of a REAL Mexican cafe’ is palpable.

The food seems to match, with a pragmatic nod to the Tex-Mex expectations of those living around these parts.

The salsa served with the chips had a smokey, chile flavor. The mole was (correctly) not sweet and absolutely delightful. But the best was the Cochinita Pibil recommended by the waitress. Pork roast roasted in a banana leaf. Mmmmm-mmmmm.

Leave metro Austin for a quick trip south of the border just my stepping inside.

It’ll be delicious.

I've eaten here about 10 times and I've loved everything I've tried. If it's your first visit, try any of the roast pork dishes! This is probably the best restaurant in Cedar Park.

Excellent Mexican cuisine. Glad to find this place with their wonderful mole sauce, chile colorado tamales, surprisingly good charro beans seasoned with bacon and cilantro. Excellent super dense and creamy flan. Clearly a lot of care and pride goes in to the food here. Service was friendly and attentive and quick. So glad to have this great place to get respite from all the Tex-Mex food that is so common in this area.

It was such a delicious experience! The Chile con Queso was terrific, the best appetizer! Original Mexican taste and their staff very friendly, excellent Customer Service! You have to try the Tres Leches dessert; it's just delectable.
