Kona Grill - Oak Brook

Kona Grill was excellent. It was a great way to wind down after a long day at work.

Jeremy was my server and he was fantastic. His suggestions, attentiveness, and joyful personality made my experience enjoyable!

I had the Chili-glazed Salmon...my goodness! Salmon was cooked perfectly and the fried rice was a perfect match.

Would love to come back when I'm in the area.

Had a lovely brunch/lunch with family at Kona Grill - Oak Brook. Steak and eggs for mom and the Prime Rib French Dip for dad and myself. Of course we had the double brownie dessert, large enough to share between the three of us with leftovers! Everything was delicious and prepared to our liking. Our server, Karolina was super sweet and attentive at a pace that we could relax with conversation while we ate. What impressed us initially about Karolina is that she asked us if we had any food allergies, not common in my opinion because I do have one and I usually have to mention it.

Food was actually pretty good. Kids bento boxes are really yummy! Jody was a wonderful server.

First time here with a girlfriend, and it was super dope!!! Great VIBES, Great food, Great Service (Thank you, Karla!!!!) She made us feel amazing! We never once felt rushed or a burden. She answered all of our questions with knowledgeable answers while giving us options and taste profiles! I'm MOST DEFINITELY ASKING for her EVERY time! She had the Saké flight, and I had the Casamigos Margarita (but made it Spicy 😋). We shared the Angry Edamame 😡 (lol) and Potstickers. Both were equally matched in flavor! But that ANGRY BUTTER has us in a choke hold!!! She had Pad Thai and fried rice w pineapple. I had a house salad w shrimp and sweet chili green beans. ANGRY butter to go around!

Jody made our dinner experience very enjoyable! She was confident and friendly! The food was served just as she described; nice presentation and tasty! Her check-backs were spot-on and terrific service throughout our stay! I would recommend Jody to others and request her service again!

Very rarely have I ever written a review for anything. Frankly, because I'm not easily impressed. But, I have got to say something about the Kona grill in Oak Brook. I ate there today for the very first time. Now mind you, I have eaten in five star restaurants all over the world, but never have I experienced the complete 5 star package in every aspect of the dining experience in my life, as I did today. An amazing surprise. It started the moment I opened the door until I took the last bite of my incredibly fresh perfectly tossed Asian salad with one's choice of protein. Now here is the outstanding incomparable part.

My waitress introduced herself to me as Stephanie. She did it with such genuine warmth, friendliness and subtle exuberance, that I felt like I've known her my entire life. Then, she recommends the macadamia crusted chicken option for my salad, which I've never even heard of before, let alone tried, and OMG!

The combination of ambiance, food and service prompted me to write this review 8 hours later before I go to sleep. I just couldn't get the food or Stephanie's amazing knowledge and service off my mind. I'll definitely be going back, if for no other reason than to see what Stephanie would recommend.

I'm not one to care about price, but to me everything seemed in the market range. However the service was priceless, which these days, has kind of been hit and miss. Good job Kona!

I had a late night Saturday date with hubby and some friends. If you are looking for a lively location on a Saturday night, look no further than Kona Grill.
They have “Happy Hour” on selected food starting at 9:30pm on a Saturday night. No drink list Happy Hour though 😕
The DJ was ON POINT! I am a GenX POC and the DJ definitely appealed to my group playing what we all know & love HOUSE MUSIC, which was originated in Chicago! But, overall, his music selections were great. We were dancing in our chairs! 💃🏾We enjoyed his play so much that he acknowledged us when his set ended at 11pm!
The food was great as always. This was not my 1st visit to Kona but my 1st review. The Sushi & Salad was enough food for me and for $20, it’s worth it!
Everyone enjoyed their meal and the atmosphere! I’ll definitely return in the future!

Dang! Great steak, delicious sushi, wonderful chocolate lava cake… made a great Valentine’s dinner. While prices are higher than we expected, we did feel it was a good value. And our server, Jody, was OUTSTANDING! She was attentive, checked on us often without being obtrusive, and kept our drinks filled. Overall, a great night!

Jody by far was one of the best servers I ever encountered. She was quick and very pleasant. The food was great and came so quickly. For being Valentine’s Day everyone were very friendly and quick. Thanks for the positive experience.

Hector, our Bartender was great. He Was very attentive and made great suggestions. I loved the margarita flight. Picasso roll was excellent.

The GM was the best! He took the time to answer all my questions and gave great recommendations. I will definitely be back soon. He definitely saved my experience because our waitress was not helpful.

Came on a Saturday night. Place was packed but the wait was minimal. The place was happening. They had a dj mixing.

We started with the avocado egg rolls. A little pricey but very delicious.

I ordered the French Dip dinner plate and it was absolutely delicious! The beef was perfectly cooked and juicy, with a nice flavor from the sauce. The side of au jus added an extra boost that made the entire meal even more enjoyable. The potatoes were nicely cooked and seasoned and provided an excellent accompaniment to the rest of the plate. Overall, this is an excellent dish that I highly recommend!

My wife ordered two cooked sushi rolls. The Vegas roll and the fire dragon roll. both were very delicious. The fire dragon roll puts on a bit of a show. When they set it in front of you, they lite it on fire 🔥. (check my photos)

Waitress was very attentive. Service and atmosphere was exceptional.

No complaints. Will come again! :)

During a very busy night, me and my family were very lucky to get seated right away, I am vegetarian and it can be hard to find foods to eat at restaurants but there was no problem here! I was able to enjoy an entire meal with my family and still feel included. I recommend their edamame and veg. rolls!! it is the perfect pairing.

We ordered sushi and off of the brunch menu. I tried the lobster avocado toast and it was amazing! I couldn't resist try the blueberry and another mimosa I forgot but they were both refreshing! We also tried the raspberry cheesecake and it was worth it!

We love Hector our bartender!!! He makes an amazing apple martini. We are oak brook natives so this is a convenient spot for us to relax. Try that apple martini guys, he got you.

We celebrated some friends’ birthdays here and had the best time. The food was great, and the service was fast. Our server Karsten was friendly and attentive. I definitely will return and recommend this location!
