Greenwood Vet Clinic is excellent. The front office staff is over the top with a genuine love for animals. They even offered to hold our baby while I was filling out paperwork. The doctor answered all of my 1st-time dachshund owner questions. Dr. Hersh was very personable and had great bedside manners. It took over 30 mins of conversation but I never felt rushed. We opted to do an OSS - ovary sparing spay and they did a fantastic job. Now all my three sisters and my mom are clients. We are so happy that we found the best vet in Seattle for our babies.

This vet was the only place we could find that had x-ray/ultrasound on labor day. They got our dog in for a very emergent issue immediately. The doctor recommended x-rays but did an ultrasound for his own reassurance and said he would not charge us. He found a large mass on my dogs spleen unrelated to our visit and saved her life because of the chance that this mass would rupture . So incredibly thankful and I cannot recommend them enough. We worked with both doctors and they were very thorough and explained both issues so we understood what was happening.

I highly recommend Dr. Hersh. I have a dog with epilepsy and skin issues. I went to Dr. Hersh for a second opinion and he was so thorough. My dog now has a beautiful coat and his seizures have been under control. I will never take one of my animals to another vet office again! Saying he is amazing is an understatement!

I have been taking my dog Sisu to Greenwood Animal Hospital for 8 years so far and have had great experiences. The staff is friendly and have always treated Sisu with a lot of care. I also especially appreciate that they are affordable, and I don't ever feel like they are recommending unnecessary treatments or vaccines.

I've been to several vets in Seattle and consider Greenwood the best in being professional and compassionate. The vets and staff are very professional and attentive. They take the time to listen to my concerns and explain the treatment options in details. More importantly, they really care about my cats and me. Last year I was completely devastated when my 13-year-old cat BunBun was diagnosed with stage-4 CKD and had days to live. Greenwood hospital staff were super kind to answer my endless questions (even responded to my emails over the weekend!) and accommodate my urgent appointment requests. They also gave my BunBun excellent treatment including both conventional medicine (e.g. Epogen for anemia) and supplement (e.g. Porus One, Azodyl, and Epakitin). 6 months later, my BunBun is happily alive and shows no signs of slow-down whatsoever. I tribute this miracle to the wonderful staff at Greenwood Animal Hospital.

When my dog Bogie was getting older he started to have a lot of different problems, tumors, infection, allergic reaction to a spider bite, loss of appetite, kidney problems. Throughout the 8+ years I took Bogie there, the team was always extremely kind and generous with their time in making room to see Bogie when he really needed it. I can’t say enough about how Dr Raj and the rest of the team there not only treated me but most importantly how they treated Bogie when he was in his final days. Thank you for everything.

We have used Greenwood for a few years. At least since 2016. We have 4 dogs but one passed of old age. Anything from grooming, skin & coat, fleas/ticks, allergies, diet, shots, dental surgeries, spay/neuter, heart defects to now an emergency hysterectomy for our Lab, Nelly. Nelly is 6yr old rescue we've had 7 months now. She has a heart condition since birth. She had only one shot, wasn't spayed and no vet care. It's been one health issue after the other. Today I took her in yet again. I was devastated to here she has Pyometra. It's expensive. The Vet called me to explain her diagnosis and discuss options. Bottom line she needs emergency surgery. Immediately I broke down crying and just heart broken. They recognize here that we are loyal customers and are going to try and work with us to make this happen. The Veterinarians are absolutely amazing! They care about your animals and the prices, you can't beat 'em. Both our Chihuahua's go here as well. We brought one in for emergency same day appointment no problem they work with you best they can. That day they were busy and it's not like I made appointment in advance so I appreciated them getting her in. They had forgotten to give 1 booster shot I'd asked for. So I emailed them and they made it right. No office fee, just make appointment for that shot. I can get snooty when I get frustrated and they put up with my attitude and have never ever gotten snooty back. If you knew me you'd think it a miracle. 😆👍🏼
I know people are frustrated with the communication since the business changes during the pandemic. Please do not let that allow you to not use Greenwood Animal Hospital. We all need to adjust to the new way of things which has been a struggle for each person. That includes businesses because businesses are built of people too. The only way to know what works and what doesn't is to try it first. I don't think our country has dealt with shut downs and business restrictions like this ever! At least not in my 40 years living. I too was disappointed and felt like I was playing the telephone game. I'd speak to the vet assistant who came out to get our dogs and something would get messed up along the way. However, after I put those errors and frustrations out on the table Greenwood made it right each and every time. They also have an email address which made it easier to communicate these frustrations and any questions I had were answered with email or a call from the Veterinarians.

Had a great experience. Dr. Hersh is a fabulous vet. We were visiting from california over thanksgiving and our Bernie torn his ACL ligament. Most vets wanted to charge a leg and arm (over $8,000.00!! and were out 2-4 weeks to do surgery). [i thought california was expensive but vet care in seattle is crazy expensive]. Anyways, they were amazing, got us in next day and he was out of the clinic the same day and at a fraction of the cost was. He is already recovered and it's hard to keep him quite! Very lucky to have found this place.

We have both our cat and dog going to Greenwood Hospital and it has been a positive experience. Our dog and cat have had minor and medium level problems (digestive issues to a broken leg) and Dr Zile and Dr Raj has always managed them well. He and his staff were courteous and have cared for our furry buddies as if they were family. We are happy with them and trust them in terms of care and pricing without trying to gauge us for unnecessary procedures or elements.

Updated 7/9/2021: Just came back with our cat with a broken leg from our appt. We had some difficulties as Lucky our cat could get out of almost every cast or bandages we tried to put on him. He isn't the best patient. But Dr Raj was patient and we went through a variety of solutions. Am impressed with his no nonsense common sense solutions.

Updated 3/22/24: Came back again with yearly check-ups for both our cat and dog and all well. Outside of an outbreak of fleas, they were fine. Dr. Hersh called us for blood work results and all is fine. Wonderful service and great care as usual. I wouldn't take our furry buddies anywhere else.

Also, we have never had an issue with scheduling appointments which is a big win too. Thank you Greenwood Vet Team

we just came back with a big emergency and they were amazing.

Brought my pup here after he ate a whole box of Valentine's chocolate. They pumped his stomach, gave him puppy gas to calm him down, clipped his nails, and gave him the antidote. They were so good to him! When we checked out I expected my bill to be huge after all that!! I was pleasantly surprised! I would recommend them to anyone!

Saved my dogs life more than once. This vet will always make room for an emergency appointment, which honestly is 90% of the reason I need my dog to have a specific vet. I can always get vaccinations at a weekend clinic, to me it’s the care they give in an emergency that really matters. Over a year ago, my little 15 pound dog was vomiting and could barely move. They had to do a ton of tests, IV, and eventually emergency surgery. Understandably the bill was getting VERY high so they did some tests for free and kept him for observation at no charge. I did not ask for a discount. My dogs life is priceless to me, and they go above and beyond to ensure he got the care he needed. I’ve seen them make similar write offs for people with pets that have chronic illness. I see a lot of people complaining about communications and wait times. I’ll admit, you might need to be prepared with follow up questions and proactively ask questions to confirm aspects of treatment. Wait times can be long while they are being seen for a standard appointment. This is probably because they accept emergency patients. These are small sacrifices to me. They are very affordable and conscientious of financial burden. If you want a more intimate dynamic with your vet, there are plenty of places that will charge you double to give you that experience and then refuse to get you in for an emergency. I prefer a vet that goes above and beyond when it really matters.

Ben did fantastic today at Greenwood Animal Hospital: he overcame his fear of nail trim! The staff were superb!! What a good boy - he is so proud of himself and we are too, Ben! Thank you Greenwood! 🐶💕

I have trusted greenwood animal hospital to take care of 3 of my dogs. Today I got one of my dogs spayed there and they did it for half the price I was quoted and most other places. They were awesome professional courteous and friendly.

Greenwood Animal Hospital saved my dogs life. My dog got into the trash while we were in bed and ate the bones from an entire rack of pork ribs and if course the bones splintered got stuck and punctured her intestines so she was in terrible shape bleeding internally, diarrhea, puking. I called 10 different vets looking for anywhere that would help her without demanding $1000 up front but I was getting nowhere. I called greenwood and they were amazing, they helped me find a nonprofit charity to secure funds for my dogs treatment and took her in right away. After two days and and nights in the Green woods hospital my dog survived and I was able to take her home. She's got a while to go before she will be back to her old self but thanks to Greenwood she is going to be ok. I don't even have the right words to express how grateful me and my son are.

My dog was near death with abcessed teeth, and she's FINALLY pain free and happy again. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, your staff saved my very best friend!!

Great experience! The person who checked my puppy in was super kind and patient and willing to receive lots of puppy kisses which helped my dog (and me) as it was her first visit. She was a rescue and there for her spay through the rescue. The incision was small and is healing very well! They gave helpful discharge instructions. I could tell everyone there really loved animals. When I was struggling to get my dog into the car after the procedure, someone came out to offer help.

I’m cancelling my Banfield Plan and moving here. All those years of premium and they could not take my support animal for emergency surgery and asked me to take her to an Emergency Clinic after four hour wait my Daughter did a search and steered me to this place. Great personal reception and a compassionate Dr. ! Kudos!

I am so thankful and impressed with the kindness and care of the staff. The communication was excellent! They have a text number that has a person responding to texts right away-
For the first time in my dogs life after having teeth cleaned and pulled, a tumor removed, x rays-
he came out to the reception area calm, and didn’t run strait to the door.

I’ve been coming to Greenwood Animal Hospital for over 7+ years. They have been nothing but wonderful to me and my babies. Even after moving out of Seattle area, I will only bring my animals here. Thank you guys for everything over the years.

I was able to get an appointment in time for my dog, Lucy's health certificate for travel. The team was very friendly and careful with handling Lucy and provided all the required information. All required procedures were carried out smoothly to get the health examination done and apply for a health certificate with USDA. Because of the care, Lucy remained calm and happy through the experience.
