My favorite barber shop in San Francisco. Highly skilled and detailed haircuts is what you can expect from a salt of the earth barber. Friendly. On point. Very reasonable prices... So if you're a techy then I expect you to tip him generously. Either way you are going to be taken care of at this place. A relic of the past San Francisco; amidst a rapidly evolving environment you may find it helpful to take a deep breath and go get yourself a proper haircut, it will help your brain think more deeply about our world and assist in processing your existential angst.

Visitor to SF. My son in law goes to Abner’s all the time so he recommended it. Abner himself was the barber and he asked my name right away. While he gave me a superb, precise cut, shaved my neck, and trimmed around my ears, he kept up an interesting dialogue. I mean dialogue, not monologue. Respectful, friendly but professional. Intelligent. Did I say great cut? Price was right.

Very nice haircut. Abner was cutting someone’s hair and his wonderful mother gave me a cut that I was very pleased with. Both very good at what they do and kind enough to not overcharge like most places in the city. $25 plus tip! I plan on coming back next time I’m on this side of the bay.

I usually come when 'mom' is cutting hair (Sundays). She always does a wonderful job. Prices were raised recently to $20 (used to be $16), but still worth every penny! I can be in and out in less than thirty minutes if there's no line, and even if there is a line, I'm usually out of there within an hour. If you're a man who just wants a good, 'regular man haircut,' then I highly recommend this place!

This is a great barber shop. I ended up here because my 5 year old needed a haircut before vacation and all of the other barbers I checked we're booked. Abner's got us in with under a half hour wait and gave my boy the best haircut he's had. For what it's worth, it was the older woman that did the cut, but I'm sure Abner is equally adept. We've been back since with similar results.

I gave this place a go since I live nearby and was not let down. I also had a very entertaining conversation with Abner's mom who had been cutting hair in SF for decades. Great haircut and very reasonably priced!

Great high quality haircut, great value, fast but detailed. Mama is who you want for a scissor cut. I'm suggestion Abner's to anyone who is tired of the over-priced rush jobs that most barbers in town are offering.

Went there for the first time as I happened to be near them and in need of a haircut. Unassuming location but top notch haircut. And even better is the price is right!

I stumbled into this place and I'm glad I did. Maria cleaned up the uneven mess that was my last haircut. Can't beat the price: $25. I'll be back.
