Our film crew had a great time lodging at Just An Experience! Super nice people! Hearty breakfast, hot tub, and convenient location.

Family Friendly B&B. It is very difficult to find an affordable hotel or motel anywhere with 3 or more beds. Great friendly service, good breakfasts, and the cabin had a kitchenette. The cabins are rustic and cozy. They are close to Virginia City and Nevada City and make a great base for exploring the area. IMO best lodging in the area.

If you have environmental allergies this is the place for you. Clean and no scented bedding. And the best part is the owners are wonderful. Great breakfast as well. We even saw a hot air ballon launch from their yard....bonus. If you are in the area this is the place to stay. We had some duds and this was the highlight of our stay.

Great experience and I would not stay anywhere else if I am in that area! We stayed in one of the spacious cabin, breakfast by the host Carma & John (owners), was fabulous, the outdoor hot tub under the Montana Sky was wonderful especially when you hear the coyotes singing!

If you've ever thought that you wanted to go camping in a treehouse, but you didn't want to sacrifice the comforts of a bed, plumbing, and climate control, this is the B&B for you. I took my nieces (10, 11, and 15 years,) my mother (63,) and my grandmother (88.) We stayed in cabin two. We all absolutely loved it. It's situated conveniently between Nevada City and Virginia City. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The "breakfast" that is promised at every B&B was an actual breakfast (as opposed to a muffin or granola bar.) They brought it out and served us a hearty meal as we sat in the shade on the lawn. They even had a cute little rock shop inside, so the girls could get some geodes, crystals, and fossils as souvenirs.

I would definitely recommend it, especially for families. It was like having our own tiny apartment to ourselves. It was cheaper than getting rooms enough for the six of us at a chain hotel. It was also cleaner, they had real soap in the bathroom, and they were much less stingy with the towels. It was a great experience.

Quite a unique experience. The owners are very nice and accommodating. The cabin was clean and authentically decorated for the area. We would definitely stay again if in the area. A little pricey, but worth it!

Staying in a cabin at Just An Experience was one of the highlights of our recent trip to Montana. The owners are very nice, the breakfast was delicious but it was the quality of the cabin that made our stay. The cabin is well off the road so there is no noise. There are only a few cabins so you do have your privacy--we stayed in the larger cabin to the left. The owner moved the old original cabin here from another location, put it on a new foundation and added the new amenities that made it special. How often do you get to stay in your own cabin with a real bear rug on the wall? You are not roughing it in these cabins and I would highly recommend staying here if you are in the Nevada/Virginia City area.

If your looking for an authentic log cabin with rustic interior this is the place! Very clean and quiet. We did not travel with children however children would love the loft! breakfast was great, the conversation with the host was even better! We enjoyed our stay.

Stayed here over the weekend and it was absolutely lovely! Cabins are quaint and have everything you need. There’s a hot tub and fireplace on the property and John will make you a fire whenever you ask. There’s lights in the backyard which is perfect for hitting the hot tub at night and watching the stars. Every morning, Karma made some of the most delicious breakfast I’ve ever had. Truly can’t recommend this place enough!

We stayed in a cabin there for two nights. It was very rustic, clean, and well decorated. The breakfasts were great. They have a great hot tub, horseshoe pit, ladder ball, and fire pit. It was our anniversary and they treated us great including chocolate covered strawberries. The house and cabins are beautiful in a beautiful setting. We definitely plan on coming back sometime.

Don't judge by the name - this place is definitely not "AN" experience, it's surely "THE" experience!
The combination of super welcoming and knowledgeable host (Carma, I'm talking about you), the location of place as well as the rustic chick of the house itself makes "Just an experience" an outstanding place to stay, and I'll urge everyone give it a try!

The cabin we stayed in was super-unique and aesthetically pleasing. Everything is so close. The owners are very kind and knowledgeable. Great with our kids. Breakfast was fantastic as well. Do yourself a favor and book it.

This place is so good that I would really prefer that other people not know about it! My family of five (with three children under the age of six) stayed in a cabin in the property. There was plenty of room, good beds, a fully stocked kitchen and nice pillows. There is a bbq, horseshoe pit, hot tub, and lawn games. Breakfast is delicious and the proprietors are welcoming and kind. I highly recommend it.

What a wonderful surprise finding this place. It really completes your visit to the old gold mining days. We stayed in one of their rustic cabins for three nights. It's large, well appointed, and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable and made for a good night's sleep. The highlight each day had to be the terrific breakfast which was served.

Be sure to check out Nevada City next door. The admission charge is well worth it and it will take you back to the gold rush days with the nemerous buildings and exhihitsv.

Breakfast was fantastic. Very friendly owners. Made you feel like family. Our cabin was the best. And yes there was a tv.

If you want to make memories to last a life time this is the place to visit. It's the full package. Great cabins with distinct personality! Modern conveniences make the entire family comfortable. The owners give a new meaning to "make yourselves at home". The lovely rooms in the home are also available. Each include delightful items from the past. My husband shared that memories of our stay at this place get him through the winter months. We have returned to Just An Experience for I believe the last 3 or 4 years. We someday hope to visit in the winter months. Open year round for every ones traveling convenience.

What a great stay that karma and her husband have set up! The cabin we stayed in was fantastically rustic, breakfast was great and the hospitality was easier to find than gold and garnets in the area! We will definitely be back!

John and Karma are so welcoming. This was my families second time staying in their cabin and it's nothing short of perfect. Both John and Karma were great with my girls (11, 8, and 4) and I can't forget to mention how delicious the breakfast is. We will definitely be back.

We when for a 5 day Experience to Montana. Fishing site seeing and exploring, meeting lots of people along the way, none more cordial than Carma and John.The cabin we stayed in was well kept and perfect for 4 to 5 guests.Virginia City has lots to offer and lots And lots of history, I would recommend have breakfast with Carma and John the company and food are well worth the visit.😇🤠

A wonderful B&B next to the Nevada City accumulation of buildings about a mile downstream from Virginia City. My family has stayed at Just An Experience many times, dating back almost to when they first opened 27 years ago. Carma has been extremely helpful getting meetings arranged with locals who could help us with family history in the area dating back to the 1860's!
