Yes, 5 stars if you're looking for a wonderful experience in a charming & rustic historic hotel. Helpful, friendly & welcoming hosts (Thank you Patty) - Virginia City has a charm like few other Montana towns. We would most certainly return and stay here again.

Our experience from the moment we walked through the door was pleasant. The young lady at the front desk greeted us with a smile and a heart warming personality. Our room was clean and cozy. What a great "ghost town" to stay in.

The Fairweather Inn is an excellent historic hotel for any stay in Virginia City. The staff were super friendly and the proprietor, Becky, was very knowledgeable about the history of the hotel and Virginia City itself. We were on a motorcycle trip and only stayed in Virginia City for one night, but next time, we will stay two nights and be able to explore the area more.

We stayed in a cabin and toured the virginia city and Nevada city .it was affordable and we even could bring our dog . The cabin doesn't have a TV which at first the family hated it . BUT it was great as a family we had time to be out and about and toured the area and played a card games in the evening that we bought at one of the stores there. Rested well and it was quiet . Plan on staying there again .Plus I would recommend it and it's updated inside and it was a fun vacation

We came through on Friday after the 4th just working our way down from Fort Benton/Great Falls and got lucky enough to get last cabin available cabin #5 on a walk in!!!! This is in Nevada City which was fine with us! Oh my goodness we had the best time hanging out Friday night and Saturday. We got a wonderful dinner at the steak house, a couple of drinks at bale of hay saloon, the ghost tour with Lois at bale of hay, and even got some awesome breakfast at the bakery in Nevada City! Not to mention the car show was Saturday the next day and it was awesome too!!! Even took an old time photo! The entire experience was tremendous!
5/5 all the way around! Ill leave a few pics with this review, make sure to look at some of them closely! We managed to catch some crazy pictures on the ghost tour!

All around Wonderful hotel .
The Room was clean and very well kept the "Mattress Mill"
bed was comfortable
and simple furnishings made you feel at home right away.
Thankfully modern conveniences in the 1880's Inn like updated bathrooms and an
A/C unit made our stay absolutely perfect.

I was hesitant to book a room here due to some of the reviews I read when searching for a place to stay in V.C. I am so glad I didn't listen to them and stayed there!!! The room we stayed in #1 was clean, beautiful and the beds were so very comfortable. The decor was amazing. Tall ceilings, very roomy, with beautiful furniture. It is one of the rooms that use a shared bathroom which was no big deal. The shared bathroom was always clean and just down the hall a few feet. The room did have a sink and mirror with a ton of towels for our use. The desk ladies were kind, friendly, and very helpful. The people that wrote less than favorable reviews don't understand "going back in time" Hello? It's Virginia City! I will be staying at the Fairweather Inn every time I visit V.C. The Fairweather is a beautiful place to stay and you are in the middle of everything which is what we wanted!

We stay in the old cabins in Nevada City. This was our second time to do this and we have enjoyed both times. They have been refurbished on the inside and are very comfy.

The rooms seemed to be just covered in paneling. The girl at the front desk was wonderful and helpful with directions and what there was to do in the town.

Quiet and interesting hotel. Stories of the hotel having haunts. We had no issues and slept great. The hotel and location were quiet and the people were great. They gave us our choice of rooms to look at and decide which room we wanted to stay in.

A 5 star hotel...not in the traditional voting...but a historical hotel with so much history in it. The Fairweather Inn was actually The Goodrich Hotel that was moved from Bannack, Mt. If you love history...appreciate this very old hotel for what it is. The staff was nice and the balcony is so much fun to take in the main street. I will be back!

Our favorite place to stay in historic Virginia City, Montana, and right in the center of things. A bit too pricey for what you get roomwise, but it's loaded with Old West charm and the staff can't be beat...plus there are a few ghost stories associated with the place that make you wonder, "What was that?" when you hear those unexplained bumps in the night.

The ambience of this little town, and especially the Fairweather Inn, make for a great stay. The rooms were tidy, bed was very comfortable, and front desk staff were so friendly. Highly recommend this place!

Five because We wanted a haunted room and got it! Rooms are small, bed sweeky. But, we're talking very old town and hotel. Beautifully decorated. Lots of antiques. Very friendly staff.

This is such a cool place to visit, the entire town is packed full of American history. The rooms are clean and basic and really that’s all you need when you visit a small old town. The place is old so don’t be surprised if there is a lot of noise from the creaking of the old wood.

There’s no WiFi or tv and that’s okay. Verizon, ATT and T-Mobile have all installed a new network so you’re still connected.
