Pioneer Bar

Amazing bartender super nice. The bale of hay saloon has a far worse atmosphere. I choose the pioneer bar every time it's far better.

Simple, rustic, classic local Saloon. The food comes from the Virginia City Cafe attached to the bar. Good burgers and sandwiches.
The bar offers a wide selection of Montana drafts, as well as almost anything else in the liquor department.
They have a pool table, as well as a few slot machines.

Was treated very well here! Learned about the bar that was moved from Butte to this location back in 1975. Fun vibe!

We stop everytime in Virginia City. Beautiful old wood, ceiling. Comfortable. Sometimes out of essentials: sugar, oranges, but I don't mind, makes it fun to improvise and go with the flow! Staff is Friendly.

What a cool place! One of the only spots open in the winter in virginia city. The history of the backbar is amazing and the customer service was great. They have live music and a pool table. Definitely worth the stop.

Best bar in Virginia city and it’s open year round. One of my favorite hang out spots and their sweatshirts are a staple of my wardrobe.
