Star Bakery

Incredible pastries. YUM! Note: we thought they had egg breakfast due to some photos but there is a separate Star Restaurant that was closed. Bakery only has baked items.

Such a yummy bakery. We got a chocolate muffin and a chocolate walnut brownie fresh out of the oven. The brownie was amazing. The baker was nice and offered us a wet towel to wash the kid's hands. My son still is talking about going to the star bakery. Was so yummy forgot to get a picture of the food.

Amazing baked goods made FROM SCRATCH daily! Local mom and daughter team and they do such a great job! I wish they were always open! They laminate their own dough! I cannot say enough good about them!

We where staying in the area for a week and made this our morning stop as often as we could. Tried several different items and was never disappointed.

We are on a cross country round trip between WI and ID. While staying in Virginia City we stopped in at The Star restaurant in its sister city of Nevada City. The food was ridiculously AMAZING!! I had the chicken and waffles with huckleberry syrup. The chicken was perfect and the waffles were to die for. The Star also has literally some of THE BEST waitstaff I've ever had. All I can say is you have to go!

Their food is fantastic and reasonably priced. My family and I stopped here to eat after walking through the ghost towns. We had two dogs with us and assumed we'd have to eat outside on the grass, but they have a charming outdoor seating space with a covered patio. This made it so much easier to eat and have our dogs with us. The inside is nice and clean and the food in the bakery looked delicious. Our waitress was spectacular and got us every little thing we asked for and was happy to do so. Overall, the Star Cafe was very accommodating and a fun place to eat at with the whole family.

I really liked this place. I have had a lot is small town meals this week and this one was the best. It might sound weird but the food seemed cleaner, and more fresh. I think the kitchen was cleaner than most small town cafes, there was less grease/salt added and the ingredients were good quality. We had breakfast that was served promptly so we could make the next train to VC.

This review is for the bakery. We had sweet and savory pastries and cookies. Everything was supurb. The baker was very helpful and delightful to visit with, and was knowledgeable about local attractions. I will definitely come back when in town again. (The bear claws are especially good!)

We had 2 meals here while on our weekend trip. Our dinner and breakfast were both fabulous! This is a family run place with a great staff and delicious food.

Everything we tried at Star Bakery was so delicious! We tried chocolate banana muffins, cinnamon rolls, cheese danish, ham and cheese croissants, lemon bars, and pecan pie bars. If you are near Nevada City, stop in and try the bakery! It is worth your time and your cheat meal😁!!! The baker is friendly, helpful, and does a great job! Thanks for showing us a fabulous time!!!

Probably my favorite bakery in Montana! The owner is personable and does all the baking herself! I can’ pick just one favorite treat but I do get a gingersnap cookie every time we pass through, along with a pie and other various treats!

The Bakery smells will entice you. The baked goods are all delicious and fresh! Highly recommend!

Best baked goods that you can get! The cream cheese bacon croissant is out of this world!

Superb food. Cinnamon buns the size of dinner plates Delicious ice cream and bison burgers. Friendly staff. Can't wait to visit again.

If I could give this Bakery six stars I would. Fantastic pastries. Try to get there early as they sell out of fresh pie around mid-morning.

I ate here for all three days I stayed in Virginia City. The best Malts ever, very friendly staff, and good French fries.

We had a wonderful breakfast outside on the covered patio.
Highly recommend thr chicken fried steak breakfast.
