Arrowine & Cheese

Finally found an actual cheese shop!! Great selection of quality stuff. They cut the cheeses to order and wrap in paper. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable, just make sure to ask. I'm new to cheeses, and they let me sample the ones I got - St. Agur and Gorgonzola - which was helpful. Orders are by the quarter pound-ish, and prices are reasonable ($7-$10 per 1/4 lb for the ones I got), so I didn't break the bank.

Like many good stores it has a relaxed atmosphere, so don't expect super speedy. The quality of food and friendliness of staff are well worth the extra time though.

I plan to return the next time I need quality cheese.

I have been hunting for a specific Rioja for a while that I simply enjoyed while overseas and have had a hard time finding… yet I came to this gem in the
middle of Arlington and found a Rioja Crianza 2017 similar to what I’ve been seeking for and many other wines from all over the world. Of course I had help for a very nice gentleman who pointed me in the right direction. And not only do they have wines but their assortment of meats and cheeses and accompaniments for a robust charcuterie tray while you enjoy your wine is parallel to none! What a great store.

Cheese experts! Wonderful staff. Great baguettes, olives, and specially items including small-batch ice creams and fresh pasta. Huge selection of cheeses from around the world; if you don't like the typical grocery/deli "Swiss cheese" because it's weirdly bitter and plasticky, go to Arrowine to taste cheeses that are actually crafted in Switzerland. That fabulous cheese selection along with the customer service -- which is top-notch -- is the reason Arrowine gets five stars in spite of its abysmally tiny Australian wine section. (Seriously, with typically less than a quarter of a shelf of Australian wines, Arrowine could definitely stand to up its Aussie-wine game.)

I cannot say enough about the service and quality of products I found at Arrowine & Cheese. Neal helped me find the perfect cheeses and Doug’s suggestions for the wines were spot on. The guests kept exclaiming over their enjoyment of everything and wanted to know where I found the delicious selections. Not sure when I will be up to hosting anything in the near future (whew!), but I won’t hesitate to come back despite living two hours away. The shop is a gem.

This local wine store & deli is an absolute gem. Davíd, assisted me with my 1st charcuterie party. He was very knowledgeable about meat and cheese pairings. I was able to sample everything and really learn about the distinctions of each item.
The party was a great success as my guests thoroughly enjoyed the presentation and creating their own Raclette grilled dish. I highly recommend them. Next visit, I will add wine to my purchase.

This is an amazing place for charcuterie, fromage, and vino. Legendary selection of everything, exceptionally knowledgeable staff, and a very relaxed atmosphere with no one really pushing you to buy anything. Trust their staff, let them know what you are feeling, and let them guide you to some of your best decisions. Absolutely worthy of 5 stars and certainly worthy of a special trip just to go there.

This may actually be the single best store in all of northern Virginia. It is a one-of-a-kind store with some of the best wines anywhere, but the real triumph of this store is the combination of thoughtfully selected cheeses, charcuterie, accompaniments such as jams, crackers and baguettes, and ice cream, and other things that make it just a delight to experience. They are hand, selecting the best of the best from all over the world, and it is not to be missed.

The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Their complimentary tastings every Friday night and Saturday afternoon (of at least 5 wines each time) have greatly increased my knowledge and appreciation for wine...and anything being poured during tastings is 10% off! We bought our wedding wines here, about 10 cases, and they gave us a generous bulk discount. Also, their cheese team did our wedding "cake" - see the picture - and we couldn't have been happier. Any cheese that exists they can find and order for you (if in season)...any wine from any region they can find and order for you (even if they already stock something better, which you should try instead!). Honestly there is no reason to buy wine or cheese from anywhere else in DC or Northern VA, unless you're buying a case of Robert Mondavi Bourbon Barrel Cabernet for a sorority party....in which case, go to Costco.

Cute wine and cheese store that builds an excellent community with regular wine tastings and events. The staff a super knowledgeable and helpful. Best shop for that perfect home event you are hoisting.

Great store for various wines, cheeses, and meats. Finding a wine that we had overseas was proving to be difficult, but they happened to have a bottle, which led to our first visit. We've since been back for other selections and will continue to try their assorted varieties.

We love this place. The selection of cheese, cured meat and wine is quite something. They have both very expensive and affordable options. The staff is very knowledgeable and can help you choose something appropriate to your taste or to the occasion (if you need help). We also found other delicacies like crackers, ice cream and beer to be quite good.

My favorite wine store in the Washington area. Great selection of fine wines, cheeses, and charcuterie with knowledgeable employees offering advice if you need help making a selection. Well priced.

Arrowine is the definition of a neighborhood gem! Wide selection of wines (including lesser known varieties more popular in Europe) at fair prices. Enticing deli area full of cheeses, meats, and olives. Helpful and friendly staff. Can’t wait to go again.

My favorite wine/beer store in NoVa. Especially now that they have a new beermonger, Melissa, who is fantastic. You can count on fresh beer, rotating through regularly, and great recommendations. The new weekly beer email is wonderful. As for wine, their knowledgeable and friendly staff are great at helping to find the right thing. And the weekly wine emails offer a perfect blend of discount/value and mid- to high-end wines. Great values, great wines/beers, great shop. (And I haven’t even talked about the cheese and charcuterie - spoiler alert: also great!) Go there. Truly what a neighborhood wine/beer/cheese shop should be. Not everywhere has a place like this. We’re lucky.

Helped me with selection of wine, chocolate, gelees (sp?) gift bag, etc. terrific customer service. Thanks to her and arrowwine I will deliver the best birthday gift. Bravo!
