Walmart

The best DAY to go here, is on Sunday. Mostly because the majority of the locals aren't out and about. Sunday is church day, for the most part. But other than Sunday. This Walmart is hecka crowded, inside and out. Go early, only time of day that it's not chaotic. Like be done by 10am!

As an OTR trucker, I had to shut down here during the ice storm (01/17/2024). The store allowed many of us truckers to use the parking lot and even provided us with some drinks and snacks to help us out while we were stuck here. Awesome service and amazing staff.

Thank you to the staff and management who helped us out this way. I know it may not seem like much to you, but to us, it means the world to have people treat us so well and treat us like actual human beings. You guys went above and beyond, and it is truly appreciated.

I like Wally World because, they have the most groceries/merchandice on my list and if one of their stores doesn't have an item, most likely, another, close by, does plus, they save me money

Hood River Wal Mart is well kept and organized. They have many employees on the floor who are readily available to provide service to their customers (except for a gal in the car stereo section). It's your average Wal Mart

Seems like this store has improved quite a bit. There's less congregation of employees watching you and more associates spread out ready to help. The pick up department works efficiently. I've yet to hear back from the corporate office as to why they gave my phone number out to their employees, they seem to have started something that they weren't willing to finish as far as I'm concerned. Their employees work very hard including the manager that was given my phone number to call me and ask me about my concerns with their store. They gave this person my phone number and she called me on her personal cell phone which was just not okay in my opinion. It was not her decision I'm sure it has nothing to do with her. But Walmart has yet to reach out and justify why they felt that was okay.

Friendly service. Check out was not slow. Found everything I needed. I forgot my bags, and I wish walmart would still offer them cheep.

Pulled crutches for me that were hard to find in the aisle in about 20 minutes! Epic! Well under three hours! Thank you!!

Friendly staff. Pretty good selection of items for a small Walmart. No veggies, fruits, deli, bakery.

Thank goodness for Walmart in this small town. Needed some date night essentials that I forgot to pack. Got the weird eye and a smile when i asked the gas station market if they had lube, pliers and trumpets.

Alot of people complain about service at Walmart . I want to say I was there trying to send a money gram and the great guy in customer service was very helpful and did a wonderful job helping me . Kudo's to you sir !

It seems while every Walmart is basically the same, except for super Walmarts, there are some where you can always find some deals, the closeout section is a little better, etc. In my travels, I always try to step into the Super Walmart in Cornelius, the Super Walmart in West side Long View, and our smaller Walmart in Hood River. And while I have been in other Walmarts, of course, I seem to find more deals at these three stores. Last Sat I scored tee shirts and shorts, just reg price, but great prices. That's what Walmart does, they bring you good prices.

It's like all of the stores in one. They managed to put the Candy Store, the Chemist, the Nursery, the Clothier, and the Grocery all under one roof. Truly incredible. Will shop here again.

Amazing location compared to its big city counterparts. Since there are no hyper aggressive security measures, it feels way more welcoming. All the products were neatly faced and the store looked very organized.
