Amazing! Well worth a visit. The most beautiful, perfectly restored collection of old cars I've seen! The planes were awesome, too! With a couple of interactive displays and videos about the history of flying. The volunteers are very knowledgeable.
Planning a return visit soon!

Highly recommended museum to see tons of planes, cars and stuff from the 1900s to 2000s. Trucks, Army related stuff and many items are on display. The owner is very handsom and explains everything. Loved it and was a really good stop.

We went for the Model T driving school which was awesome. Getting the opportunity to drive one of these old cars was a treat. The museum is spectacular, everything is clean and well cared for. They do a great job. I highly recommend stopping and looking around.

This museum is fascinating! I am not into planes or cars but this museum was still worth the stop. Most of these airplanes and automobiles are still in working condition! Plan to spend at least 2 hours here

An absolute must, one of a kind museum. If you're in Hood River spend half a day here. The volunteers are passionate and knowledgeable, the aircraft and automobiles beautifully restored and functioning.

Excellent experience, the volunteers are incredibly friendly and helpful, the museum feels more welcoming and inviting than others I've been to. An excellent accessible day-trip from Portland.

Visited Hood River during a very cool, rainy period for the month of April 2023. Struggling to find things to do during inclement weather, found WAAAM on Trip Advisor. We are not particularly car people but found this museum and all the volunteers who work there delightful. With more than 3 1/2 hangar acres of antique and classic cars, planes, motorcycles and more, there is so much to see. One thing that makes this museum unique is that all of the vehicles are operable and are used periodically for special events and parades. Consider going on the “Second Saturday” play day when a few of the airplanes, cars and other motorized vehicles are taken out, rides are given. We spent 2 enjoyable hours there before we here on overload with all to see. Included a few photo favorites we saw during our visit.

A bit overwhelming at first. This place is big and keeps getting bigger as you go along. A wonderful staff and gift shop. A highlight was the roaming (scooter) volunteers. These guys are a wealth of information and stories. Just when you think you have seen everything, there is more around every corner. Plan on sending at least two hours or more. Most of the collection is road or air worthy making it a special museum. Most everything is housed under 3 acres of building and very comfortable. Restroom was clean and they even have a snack bar. What a treat on a wet spring day. Definitely worth a return visit.

It was well worth the price, lots to see, I could have spent a couple more hours there, we actually got to ride in a 1931 Chevy because we were there the same time that a tour bus showed up full of people, usually they only give rides in the antique cars one Saturday a month, guess it was our lucky day.

I was talking with a friend about automobile museums in the US and remember enjoying this museum. It was quite a while ago. I must had forgotten to leave a review. I remember there was a lot to see besides airplanes and cars. I am glad I made the trip. The museum is huge.

Today we visited WAAAM for the first time. Despite a brief and fast go through we all were indeed thrilled to see the wonderful collections with well maintained display. Simply Great! Congratulations to all those who shaped this wonderful museum and appreciate all - the Chairman, Committee Members, Volunteers and every contributor. Thanks.

Very amazing volunteer ran museum. I cannot wait to go back with more time! The donated pieces are just magnificent, and the attention to detail is incredible. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I would say fun for all ages, if you like vehicles. Big gift shop, cool items just everywhere. There was even a small vintage sectionw ith some neat model planes. The restrooms were clean. If you ask nicely you can take a ride in a few of their model t's. Donations appreciated, please donate if you are able to. Tour was available as well, was on a poker run, so casually perused the museum. Will be back. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

This museum is located in Hood River, about an hour and a half east of Portland and is maintained by enthusiasts. It houses many old aeroplanes, automobiles and bikes. You can see some of the older steam engine cars that are still in good running condition as they are regularly serviced. It's like candy land for car and aeroplane lovers. I was excited to see a Wright Brothers Glider. Some of the aeroplanes have documentary videos shown right in front of them for context. There is a pretty gift shop too.
