I've been going here ever since April, The Kitsap Live Steamers always amaze me and the community certainly enjoys them as well, you can get here two ways by crossing from Fauntleroy to Southworth on the ferry which is close by, as well as the Narrows bridge, located in South Kitsap Regional Park there's lots of fun events these folks do, also everything is weather permitting so keep an eye on the weather before making your trip.

A great place when it's nice out. Even if it's raining. Just go for a walk with your dog, the family. Let's playgrounds. There's trails safe. You just enjoyable. The trails are cleaned up and will taken care of and maintain. I'll come back for a lot more great place for our community

What a cool experience! Fun for the whole family. We haven't been in over 5 years and they've improved quite a bit. They had 3-4 trains going, so although the line looks really long, the wait isn't bad. The track is probably double in length since we were last there. Bring some cash to donate. I wish they had a way to tip digitally, like Venmo.

So much fun!! The conductors were so friendly and it was a beautiful ride through the woods. It was fun looking for the hidden faces!!

Nice train ride. Several trains running at once so wait wasn't long. Donation box available when getting on. Ride was much longer than expected. Train runs 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month. 10-4 pm. Sign up for email to get any special days like this year they had it on the 4th of july and a few other days.

Their trains run continuously on their run days. Enjoy a senic, 11 minute train ride through woods with hidden faces on some of the trees. You'll find the staff are extremely friendly and professional in the way they operate their trains, with safety being #1. Best of all, it's free for the whole family! Unfortunately, their last run of the year was today but they will be back next spring

It runs only 2nd and 4th Saturdays. The train rides were fun and the queue was manageable. We actually did a lot of rides and took lot of videos. My 4 year old was delighted as he is rail fan. The staff/volunteers were courteus and caring.

Always a great family fun experience! All the train staff and conductors are amazing. The whole family can ride the train! Donations are how they say on the rails so remember to bring a donation! We always ride the train then play at the park after! We also like to walk threw the trails!

What a great place. There was always a line to get on board so plan on a short wait. Since there are also playgrounds, hiking, etc. at this park, parking is a challenge. Be prepared for that.
Everyone I saw on the trains looked like they were having a great time.

My daughter, my husband and I all enjoyed the ride of today. Taking the train in the forest is wonderful. Thank you very much.

Fun ride through the forest. Great time for the kiddos but as a parent I enjoyed myself too. Definitely recommend!

A wonderful family experience. Ride for free on a fun little train through a beautiful forest. The volunteers were so friendly and you could tell they loved sharing their excitement. They had several trains running, so wait times were short, which was great for the little ones.

Wonderful people lovingly craft handmade one-third and one-quarter scale model locomotives and freight cars. Take a trip through the woods atop a freight car and keep your eyes peeled for "faces" in the trees.

My daughter and I were even given the opportunity to talk with a owner-volunteer who showed us around their facility. Rows of model trains and cars stored with care can be seen in the photos below.

You'll see models of diesel-electric powered locomotives that are battery run. Others are real steam engines. No coal here, though. The one we saw today is propane fueled.

We'll definitely be back!

We came here for the first time 3 years ago and now it is a family tradition! A must for all families with younger children or young at heart adults💜

I am absolutely in love with the volunteers. Big friendly smiles and having a great time. We went on a wet gloomy day and still had the best time. We will return soon.
They accept donations for riding and I hope everyone donates enough to sustain this opportunity for kids and parents alike.
The trip around the park on the scale train is longer than I would have imagined and a lot of fun with little bridges.

Wonderful little train ride, even an area for handicapped in wheelchairs, not just for the littles many adults come alone there too.
Just updating the review still wonderful and five star.

Last day of the season at Kitsap Live Steamers. They had 3 trains running so the lines were short. It takes about 12 minutes for the train to make it's way through the forest. There were no actual steam powered trains running today due to the weather.
