This is an excellent wine store. It has a very good selection and signage that will describe the elements of the wine type and particulars. They will sometimes add a musical venue along with wine and cheese tasting. It makes shopping a thoroughly enjoyable experience!

Great place, a staple of the community. Excellent selection with incredibly nice and knowledgeable staff. Can't say enough good things about them. Also they have love music.

If you've been driving past this gem of a spot on Brambleton and haven't allowed your curiosity to take control, you should follow your nose through the front door. The ambiance is relaxed and pleasant, and the selection of wine and beer is incredible, but the coffee steals the show. I'm not a bonafide coffee connoisseur, but I can certainly appreciate the subtle differences premium coffee offers, and what Phillip does to those beans is heads and shoulders above what you can purchase anywhere around here. Last night, I grabbed some Zinfandel, a bag of Ethiopian light roast, and a bottle of mean green hot sauce for the win. Maybe I'll start doing pour-overs.

What a find! My wife and I recently went on a wine tasting tour in Charlottesville and wanted to find (in Roanoke) a wine that we had tried on our tour. After stopping at one store, I called and Jason let me know they had it and held two bottles for us! When we got there... What a cool store and owner! So many wines! Lots of craft/niche beers. Jason, the owner was working. He was SO attentive to each one of the 5 customers he had in the store. Answering questions, helping with selections, and giving detailed descriptions... All things one would include under the umbrella of "good service"... But he is passionate about the wines in there. Knows their flavor profiles intimately. It was a solid 30min we spent in there talking about wine and the aspirations they have for their business. If you're looking for vino that nobody else has, they've probably got it. Check em out!

These guys have always been good. But the last batch of wine we bought was a grand slam. I went on their recommendations and we’re in wine heaven every time we partake.

Went for a bottle of wine for dinner... but left with an assorted case including port and a pound of coffee- Great service all around - Will be back!

Local and Virginia wines and much much more. Awesome selection of all types and flavors. I found wines for gifts for Christmas. Very helpful staff.

Loved it as Mr. Bill's Wine Cellar and so far the crew at Gladheart is doing a great job keeping my wife and me wine happy. Beer selection is pretty decent too. Staff is always helpful and professional.

I was sad to see Mr. Bill go, but happy that Gladheart is keeping the tradition of excellence alive and well.

He was friendly and knowledgeable and quite helpful. It can be tricky to select wines for someone else, but his advice was spot on.

Traveling through the area and wanted to pick up some local craft beer to take home to CT. Searches of “best retail craft beer store” all brought up Mr. Bill’s Wine Cellar. Jayson and Philip, the new owners, did not disappoint. They are both friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable. While I wasn’t there to buy wine, they were well stocked with an impressive variety of wine.

Awesome wine shop that's privately owned. The owner and his staff are fantastic with their suggestions and all around friendly good natured people! I'll definitely be back when in the Roanoke area!

Very friendly, knowledgeable staff ready to help you find exactly what you're looking for! I expected their prices to be higher than other places, like Kroger, but they appear to be quite competitive. So if you're looking for just the right wine, this is your place!

Writing this review for my mom who bought Prosecco one day and left her purse by accident. Made it all the way home before she realized she didn’t have it. She said the nicest guy (she thinks his name was Jayson) found it and kept it safe till she came back. And all the ladies at her old lady luncheon group LOVED the Prosecco.

Nice selections of wine and craft beer. I really liked the expansive descriptions of featured wines. Lots of friendly staff. Friday had free wine tasting and snacks.

I really enjoy this place. The staff's always been very helpful, without talking down to me or being 'overly-helpful'. I have enjoyed their recommendations almost unanimously. I haven't loved everything-- like a couple of the craft beers, which I didn't really care for-- but the when I have given them a description of what I'm looking for, they have consistently provided something outstanding... they introduced me to Augustiner, one of the best beers I've ever had, and to a couple of wines I never would have tried on my own (Valhalla, for instance). I love the place's casual feel and upscale taste.

Stopped in for a quick wine tasting. They were very friendly and welcoming. They had a charcuterie board out and were ready for fun times!

Absolutely adored this place, we were on a day trip from Clifton Forge and were looking up places to buy weird beers at. They certainly had plenty, even a good supply of Mead, but the sheer variety of wine was certainly impressive.
