Such a beautiful bakery. We stopped in after lunch for a sweet treat & were not disappointed. The staff are friendly & helped us to choose some very tasty items. We tried an amazing chocolate raspberry cake, which is pictured, chocolatelovers should try this for sure. A lemon bar & a lemon cheesecake. The lemon bar had a nice crispy crust, which was almost biscuit like. Sweet but not overwhelming. Tart & delicious. The lemon cheesecake was dense but not overly sweet . A light lemon taste enhanced the cheesecake instead of taking it over. The americano was served piping hot & great brewed fresh.. We will definitely come again.

The cake taste was amazing and looked pretty. they made our cake on time even though I ordered it less than a week before my friend and I birthday. Regarding their team, they were really patient and supportive and brainstormed designs ideas with us so the cake looks nicer.

My experience was great. That was mainly because of Ali and his customer service and willingness to work with me at short notice. He was very understanding.

Picking up my cake was very easy and the staff was very respectful. Even the customers were helpful and opened the door for me when I left out with my cake.

The cake itself was magnificent. It was very well done and exactly as I requested.

I ordered a variety of pastries and cakes for my husband’s birthday and we were so happy! The delivery was packaged well and everything was so delicious! Especially the cheesecake.

Lavender Bakery did my wedding cake two months ago. Ali and the staff were so friendly and helpful to me and my fiancé when we were figuring out the perfect cake for us, where we decided to go with a naked two-tier cake with mocha and coffee filling. We also ordered their Tiramisu cake and Neopolitan cake to serve to our guests.

The day of our wedding, all the cakes turned out AMAZING. We knew our cake was good, but we got so many compliments from our guests saying how yummy and delicious both cakes were. We had almost 200 guests at the wedding, cake was all gone!!

My head just about levitated off of my shoulders when I walked into this place! The pastries are works of art and taste even better, there's gluten free options too! It was extremely difficult not to get 1 of everything and spend $100. I would definitely recommend this place if you want to surprise someone with a special treat. The staff is also super patient and willing to answer your questions while you drool over the display case.

I ordered my sister's wedding cake from Lavender Bakery. They were so kind and helpful. We got a tasting box and we were able to taste every cake and frosting they had. Their website was so easy to navigate. We were so happy with the results at the end. At the end of the night, there wasn't a piece left! Everyone said they loved it! Highly highly recommend!

Lavender is a quintessential local establishment. They treat all of their customers as if they are a part of the Lavender family from the first encounter. Management is warm and customer-oriented. The sales staff are very knowledgable and willing to guide you through the various cake and dessert offerings. I particularly enjoy the burnt almond cake and the chocolate hazelnut mousse. They have something perfect for every occasion and you can even order a custom cake tailored to your needs. It is difficult to resist all the treats. I must always resist to and from my workouts. Make it a special day with Lavender.

We ordered from Lavender Bakery for a couple of our events at UC Berkeley, School of Information. Their coffee was hot, bakery was fresh and tasty, and they delivered on time. Their service was impeccable as well, everything they promised was executed. Ali helped me customize the order. All in all, a seamless process. I highly recommend ordering from them.

This was a wonderful business for ordering my kid's birthday cake. I live in Monterey and she lives in Berkeley. I contacted the Lavender Bakery and explained the situation. They were great about the exact design I wanted, the size (for 50 people), and the perfect icing color. I heard that the cake was a HUGE success and that the birthday girl was thrilled.

This place probably bakes one of the best versions of practically all your favorite desserts: Mexican wedding cookies, old-school Italian butter cookie assortments that the now-defunct Virginia Bakery in Berkeley used to sell, classic eclairs, strawberry shortcake, tiramisu, Opera cake, Napoleons, croissants, the list is seemingly endless. Very cute space that also sells coffee, and sidewalk seating, too.

A wonderful bakery; we've purchased a number of cakes there before for birthdays and mother's days, etc. This recent event we had was a substantial baby shower which required more planning, and Ali and his team at Lavender were so understanding and helpful. The cake was an absolute hit-- beautifully decorated and so delicious--and I'm excited to head back to this bakery for our next celebration!

A great place to stop by for coffee and pastries. I do that regularly when I’m not out of town. Great staff. Everyone including the kitchen staff gives you a pleasant and nice smile. Their service is excellent and during busy days you could see their efficiency without losing the standard of the service and the quality of the coffee. Their smiles and nice tone of voice doesn’t diminish even in stressful days and with demanding customers. I wish them a long, long success.

We got a cake from here for my unicorn obsessed kid. Cake was delicious. Ordering the cake, questions back and forth, picking up the cake, all were easy. They have exceptional customer service.
