I've lived here in the neighborhood for 50 years now. I still feel safe walking these streets. I love the walk alongside cortland creek. Even though there are a few homeless campers along the way, I have found them to be very pleasant and tidy. I often wonder how old the enormous trees are ...noticing the beauty each one holds. Birds sing here and all of Gods creatures carry on without a care in the world...teaching me to be more like them.

I love the fact that it is not a dark scary unkept trail anymore . The city had forgotten about this random Creek trail in the city but it seems like somebody has taken a special interest in cleaning it up and making it a spot where you can still see it what the original landscape of Oakland used to look like.

Plenty of beer,cigarettes, Dame on the bike because Volvo threw a rod. Joe got the hood up again. And a dodge hemi truck with a unproffesionally installed moon roof.

Quiet, peaceful setting for you just to pull over, park and think, while enjoying the wildlife scenery.
