Once upon a Hiero Day I found The Peoples Store vendor booth and discovered a wondrous thing: “Nefi’s Own Cocoa Bliss Organic Hair and Skin Care Shea butter blend” and IT IS HEAVENLY! It lasted me quite awhile but I would eventually make the trek across town and visit The Peoples Store to stock up and get a couple extra for gifts. Upon entering the shop I quickly learned that I had come there for so much more. They have a great selection of high quality body oils and perfumes. They have an extensive collection of incense some hard to find and some I had never known before. I shopped their earring collection and came away with some stylish new gear at very affordable prices. I found they have a great collection of stones and minerals as well as many beautiful handcrafted altar pieces and jewelry. They have some very cool handmade clothing and original tshirts and hats with prints of a local flavor. I could just keep going, there are so many great finds at this store that you just have to see for yourself! The People’s community is at the heart and soul of Oakland please come out and support this local black owned business and tell a friend🌟💜

I love this store! The best place in Oakland to get all of your crystal, herbal, and overall apothecary needs. But don’t stop there. The People’s store has an ABUNDANCE of all natural soaps, essential oils, and even Jewlery! I came in on a Saturday afternoon and was warmly greeted by the owner who is super helpful and knowledgeable about all his products. Definitely my go to for a variety of needs from spiritual cleanings to herbal baths I can count on the People’s store to have everything I need and at an AFFORDABLE price !! I look forward to coming in again this weekend! Thank you for all you do in and for the community!

This was my first time in this store. All I can say is WOW!!!! This is a new go to store for me!!! Tons of healthy hair products and soaps to fit all likes!!! The jewelry is beautiful also. I felt relaxed and eager to support this business. Parking is great too.

Awesome store, staff is always friendly and happy to show me all the new products they are constantly rotating....which means if you see something you like, you better buy it right them and there, they always getting cool new stuff. They treat their customers like family and always happy to answer any questions if you need any knowledge on the products they sell/make in store. You can feel the love that was put into the house made products (oils/incenses/etc) when you bless your hair, house, skin, car etc with them. I’ve never felt like “I love spending my money at this store!” But I actually do enjoy spending my money here, can’t beat the prices and effort these folx offer. The quality of product they make in house is excellent, oils are pure burning products last a long time and smell great. I hope the community supports these guys so they can open up more shops!!!

I like this store because they have great products excellent prices always good energy. You can learn a lot from the 2 gentleman who run the store. You can create your own business, party gifts 🎁or just something for yourself. They have a nice selection of crystals 🔮Shea butter 🧈soap 🧼 fragrance oils 🛢incense, and so much more.

I love this black owned business in the heart of a black neighborhood. Every time I shop there I’m shown genuine love and respect by everyone. One of the owners Rob is always trying to put people in a position to operate or own their own business. He knowledgeable he may talk fast so you have to listen quick and soak up like a sponge. I enjoy that the store is ever change just like people on spiritual paths evolving. They got everything you need just about and they don’t chances are the next time you come they will! #BlackExcellence

Very well organized store with a variety of natural products. The dark Amber oil is what I came for. It is reasonably priced and I always buy 2 4oz bottles that last about 6 mos. It smells AMAZING on my skin & leaves an unforgettable scent. In addition, they give back to the community by preparing non-Vegan & Vegan meals on the last Sunday of each month for FREE. No other merchants in the High Street area do this & people come from miles away to support the 3 storefronts who are so generous & humble! Hats off to them for supporting a diverse & inclusive community!!

Love this store, very friendly and inviting space that's run by multiple families as a collective. Absolutely love all natural beauty products, hygiene products, crystals, jewelry, and incense. They even do a free community BBQ once a month too! So support this local small businesses and shop at The People's Store. Open 7 days a week, 11am-6pm

I really like this place.
Me and my daughter get all of are crystal and insents. Not just that they have some amazing whip shea butter that I pick up from my husband there when he runs out. Not only do they have some really great items that are affordable, The man at the register has been very nice and always a good vibe . I give this a must check out!!! 5

Literally the best store to buy all of your natural products from. For personal use and to supply your business. They have everything from oils, to shea butters, to soaps and crystals. I drove all the way from Stockton to buy many items in bulk. When i tell you... everything is fresh and you will never be disappointed. I used to buy stale shea butter from the beauty supplies so make my products but the guys here at The People’s store was able to hook me up!! My hand whipped body butter has never came out so smooth and fluffy until I stopped in this store the other day. I LOVE IT HERE!!! I will never order my natural items from anywhere else but here. Thankyou guys so much for introducing me to the right products for my business. Cheers to our future doing business together. This is just the beginning 😁

This store is a gem that should be supported. They are holding down space for black-owned business in Oakland with high intentions of community service, quality art from local artists, important literature, insence, jewelry and wellness/beauty products made from family recipes. All the beautiful brothers and sisters involved in this business are amazing to talk to. It's worth dropping by just to get to know them.

And it's also worth dropping into their Soul Food spot two doors down where they offer delicious and healthy vegan and halal meat options.

I’ve been a costumer here for years. I lived in Daly City when I first discovered this store. There products are so good and pricing is so fair that I would drive from Daly City to Oakland to stock up on my shea butters, oils, sage, and so many other products. The owner Robert is a true staple in the community and always displays such love, light, and integrity. He constantly gives back to the community. This is one black owned business that I would support no matter how far away I move.

I came in and was serviced in a righteous manner. I was loading up on various items and they had all that I came in for. Chop let me know that the Black soap was on sale for BHM and I picked up four of them as well. I had a great experience and will be returning... all cool vibes.

I visited the Bay area with my family and stayed at an Airbnb near the store. I would see beautiful African print clothing displayed outside and wanted to stop and finally did so on my last day. Everyone was SUPER friendly - the store was already closed when I got there but the owner let me shop around. Even though, the store was techically already closed - the owner still took time to share information on the products. He put me on to this whipped shea and told me I could use it from head to toe. The product is called "Cocoa Bliss" and I LOVE it for my hair and skin - he told no lies. I also got the cutest sandals with African print. If you like eclectic jewelry, natural products, and African prints - check them out! Love the vibe with the barbershop next door and the owner also owns the restaurant on the corner. Cool spot!

What a hidden gem! This store has everything you need…I love the variety. The owners energy was divine. Anytime I’m in Oakland I will be stopping by.
