Port View Park

On a lazy Sunday morning, it can be a real good place to sit down and just have some alone time. Not the best sights nor it is quiet, it's next to the Port Of Oakland after all, it does offer that unique solitude.

Excellent views of SF and the Bay Bridge and the port, with a small playground containing the excavating play equipment my kids love.

Did not realize until recently that fishing off the pier does not require a license. We didn't catch anything, but the views still made it worthwhile.

A very nice little park by the sea. You can see ships coming in and leaving and sometimes being unloaded. The observation building is open 10-3 Monday through Friday.

If you want to go see the sunset by the water and see all the amazing views of San Francisco and the Port of Oakland. This is the place where you need to be. Just bring a coat and something warm to keep you from being too chili after the sun starts to go down.

Beautiful place to go on weekends if like fishing, biking, go for a walk. Sight seeing closest view to Bay Bridge. Oakland shoreline near Port of Oakland tons of cranes and shipping containers. Pretty quiet on weekends. Weekdays man it's busy loud and nosy AND TONS OF big rigs with 18 wheels moving cargo in and outta of containers.

Walk on Parkside for city view, bicycling or fishing. Keep it clean and safe.

Dockside view is greater from the estuary. You can watch the ships getting loaded. Ferry by or BYOBoat.

There's a pier for fishing. There are places to sit and tables for eating and relaxing
It has good bay views. And it has bathrooms

I love this place, it's an unknown gem.

Water front park with great views of the Bay, you can easily go for a few mile walk or a run in the area.

Very nice spot to see the container ships coming in to port and a awesome scenic view of the Bay.

Area around the parking lot was a bit of a mess due to those birds, but if you walk down toward the fishing pier, it’ll be much cleaner.
You can see the San Francisco cityscape across the bay and Oakland port at the same time. San Francisco side was a little bit foggy when I visited there, but it was a great view nevertheless.

Remote enough to be able to avoid "crowds" of people, allows for unusual and up close observations of Port activities (entertaining, informative), relaxing SF city views over the Bay, quiet (except for the unloading diesels - NOT on the weekends).

Solid if underused and aging playground. Excellent backdrop and local birds. No dogs allowed.
