Amazing diner food! Crispy hash browns, creamy gravy, and the best corned beef hash from the griddle. Would definitely come again.

One note - bathroom wasn’t great when I went. Not sure if this is a regular thing or just happened to be the case when I was there. Would try to use the restroom somewhere else before going

I had coffee and a bagel. The bagel was fresh and the coffee was warm even though it was around lunchtime. The covered patio was very nice especially with the sun shining. The next visit will be for the full breakfast.

This is a great local cafe with a cozy atmosphere and friendly staff that always make you feel welcome. The food is tasty with fresh ingredients, and there are seating options both in and outdoors that can accommodate a variety of group sizes. This has been my favourite breakfast spot for years and I feel like a member of the family when I'm here. Their coffee is wonderful as well, if you are just looking for something to go. Even if their kitchen is closed they won't turn you away hungry and will offer to make you a sandwich to go. This is the best cafe!

I love the coffee and always grab it on the go. Today I had time for a leisurely breakfast so I’m dining on the patio under a heat lamp on a rainy dreary Monday - how perfect for my taste buds! The house blend coffee is my favorite—it’s a combo of French, Italian and Colombian beans!
We usually do delivery from The Coffee Mill but since I’m out and about I’m so glad that I’ve experienced the French toast in person! It’s delightful with their unique syrup and powdered sugar. I added a delish scrambled egg on the side. This may have to be my meal for the day from a calorie perspective but who’s counting! 😉 I also love the folks who make this place purr—they are sweet and kind. Drop by!

Very friendly staff! I like coming here every once in a while to get an oolong tea with lychee jelly and a breakfast sandwich. Nice place for a date too.

This is a nice place to come and eat. They have an inside and outside area for you and good service with great food. I also like how there's screens to block the sun if you decide to sit outside

Been here a few times, food is always solid and the servers are wonderful. Every drink is enormous! Cappuccinos literally come in bowls

The person making coffee was really happy to be there and gave great costumer service, would recommend their breakfast bagels too!

Ok, whenever I see shrimp on the menu. I have to try them. Having lived in the real southern states of Florida and the like have spoiled me about the simple taste of shrimp and grits. I have always found them to be dressed up shadows of what the dish should really by anywhere outside of the southern. Especially here in the bay area...... Until now... The shrimp and grits here are dressed up. However the shrimp is cooked well and the grits are the creamiest I have had outside of Florida. The tomatoes, onions, green onions are bot really needed for this dish, the don't over power the main stars. All in all, the best shrimp on grits in the bay, and they would actually hold there own in any place in any of the typical southern states shrimp and grits dishes.

Great food. The staff are super nice. There's outdoor seating which is dog-friendly. I've never had a bad experience here.

Pandemic Update: Still great. Outdoor tables and chairs are metal now and don't feel like they're going to blow or tip over like they previous plastic ones did.

Post Pandemic Update: Are we really post pandemic? No, but this place is thriving. I love coming here.

My favorite spot by the lake for breakfast. When people visit me from out of town I take them here. The main server is the best, she really cares and takes care of her patrons. She remembers all her regulars. The food is great, place is clean and the wait is reasonable even when it’s busy.

Perfect, chill, neighborhood breakfast. Zero pretense. Come a couple times and they know your name.

Update: Coffee Mill just gets better. Still a great neighborhood cafe and the food is getting better! Owners have always been wonderful. Lost of cosmetic/ atmosphere upgrades. Great outdoor seating.

This place is an absolute gem. Whenever I'm visiting friends in Oakland we stop here for lunch or breakfast. Their omelettes are perfectly prepared, and the ingredients are fresh. The coffee is delicious! And my friend always gets the french toast which she absolutely loves. The staff is wonderful, friendly, and fast. Highly recommend if you're in the area.
