Aroma Cafe

I've been going to Aroma Cafe since when I worked in the area in 2008. It's family owned and run, and they have a deli with a wife range of sandwiches, as well as baked goods.

I think their cookies are best value in the city if not the bay area. Cookies are $2 each, less if you get them in bulk. Amongst bakeries, it's hard to find ones at $2 each. There's a variety of different flavors, my favorite are snickerdoodle, chocolate chocolate, white chocolate macademia, etc.

Their sandwiches are really good too. They bake some of their own bread, like their rolls, and they toast their sandwiches. I've really enjoyed their pastrami with cheese sandwich, and their #4 Tuna Sandwich.

I'm really glad they made it through COVID and are still a great breakfast/lunch spot in Oakland.

Very good. I had the pastrami and melted cheese sandwhich. Both ingredients were together blasted in an oven or broiler before "assembly." Good pastrami, and the pickled jalapeños go very well with the sauce and red onions.

I love this place. The food is excellent.

I love their menu. The prices are average and the food is good! The employees are friendly and fast. Get a sandwich! The woman that makes them is very good at what she does.

Extremely nice people working here. My car battery died right outside their shop and when I went in to ask who owned the car parked in front of me, the woman behind the counter said she'd go get her own car and give me a jump. I didn't catch her name, but she was extraordinarily nice to assist a stranger with their dead car battery, especially during COVID.!! Their sandwiches smelled amazing and I'll be grabbing something here next time I have a chiropractor appointment upstairs.

Great selection of specialty sandwiches. I'm not big on sprouts and orogenic Owens but they seem to have a good variety of choices. Personally wanted a few more choices of drinking items, but I'm ol school.

Always fresh and never stingy, plus a wide variety of yummy cookies baked daily. The staff are super friendly and always provide a smile and a wave even when walking past their window. I am disappointed they moved their smoothies to their other location a few blocks away when they renovated, but that was just an extra perk anyway.

Great prices and very generous portions with a great variety of products too. Everything looks fresh and clean and its made in front of you. Order to the right of the cashier and then pay when your sandwich or wrap is done.

Love them, go there all the time for their cheese bagel with cream cheese, veggies and bacon. Delicious and reasonably priced.

Noce place and people. Ham and egg sandwich was very tasty. Blueberry muffin was warm and moist. Great service.

Really like the place . Have been eating here regularly for some time now. They take their time and don't cheat on quality or quantity. Keep going
