EM Deli Catering

This Korean grocery store may be small in size but carries a decent selection of Asian products. It also has a good amount of ready-to-eat foods available. A dining table at the front bay window affords great street views!

Personally, I was initially most interested in EM Deli and Catering for getting ingredients for preparing Korean food. I am a newby learning how to cook Korean food, and EM Deli has so much available in their small well-organiser space.

Their store is sparkly clean, and everything is easy to find. There On the left, when entering their store are small containers of ready to eat single servings of delicious dishes that they have prepared. Personally, I got seaweed salad, and squid salad—both were absolutely fresh and delicious!

Besides a refrigerated case  that included some important veggies, sauces, and tofu for preparing your own dishes., They also have frozen commercially packaged food for using later. They have dried goods like rice, soy sauce, noodles, and seaweed. They also have lots of Korean cuts of meat, and can get you fresh fish from San Francisco.

If you just want to get what they have already prepared, you can go down to actually see what they have. You can order online. We had a small dinner party of four and got carry out. When it was brought home, we ate it so quickly that i forgot to take pictures.

Great little Koreans shop - Pices are a little higher thant KP on Broadway, but the Kimchi is way better here. Basically the only place I buy kimchi anymore - better thant 99 Ranchi or the Koeans market out in Daily City. The prepared foods are tasty but also a bit pricy IMHO.

I love Korean food and ordered a few items from the a la carte menu for a party. My guests loved the food, especially the kimbap and japchae! The online ordering process was easy, and the delivery came on time. Prices are reasonable for the amount of food ordered. I highly recommend EM Catering for any event and look forward to trying the food at the store!

This Korean market used to be in Downtown Oakland and a few years ago to moved to Montclair which is my neighborhood so I personally was happy it moved there.

EM Deli has a wide range of Korean and Asian products ranging from meats, noodles, rices, some veggies and a variety of sauces and spices.

There is some prepared cooked foods (fried rice, kimpap, etc.)

They have a meat section which has Korean bbq grade cuts (thinly sliced steak, pork for hotpot or Korean bbq)

Great selection of Korean hot food, bonchons, snacks, frozen treats, staples and more. Found some of my bonchon favorites that are hard to find now like raw seasoned crab. Prices are higher but that’s expected given its location but it’s well worth the convenience and delicious food.

EM Deli is a nice Korean market in Oakland's Montclair. I had the ready made Korean Beef Bibimbap or Bulgogi bowl to go. It was very good.

I absolutely love EM Deli. I first found out about this family-run Korean market when visiting their downtown location. I’d often get takeaway items like the kimchi fried rice, japchae, gyoza, or kimbap, but they also have Asian grocery staples like rice, mirin, seaweed and more. Definitely a great stop in Montclair when the next best Asian grocery is another 20 minute drive away.

My GF just turned me onto this place today! Their large variety of banchan, kimchi and to-go bento box selections were great, not to mention their precooked meats. My GF is vegetarian, and she loves this place. So many Korean and Asian items... I got several to try and was very pleased. Pricing is decent. I can't wait to go back!!

Worth the price. Kimbap tasted fresh and the pickled radish inside was very crunchy. Highly recommend to go before lunchtime to get more fresh and warm food.

Great place to get some homemade Korean food. My favorite place to get gimbap/kimbap. They also have really good fishcake and tofu in spicy flavor. The prepared hot food is decent too!

Korean Fried Chicken tenders were amazing!!!!! So crispy and flavorful. Japchae is well seasoned and the veggies in it were fresh. The pickled radish had a delicious sweet tangy and spicy brine—perfect balance. Coleslaw was simple cabbage but fresh and great dressing. Very happy with my meal!

Fantastic food! I got bibimbop (veggie!) and it was amazing. It came with miso soup that was delicious! Would super recommend (and was $10!). Also has a small sit down area where I ate!

Their kimbap is the best. More stuff inside, less rice around it vs. when ordered from Korean restaurants. So convenient, too, for a light and delicious meal on the go! Other selections of prepared food are good too.

Friendly owners & staff. Freshly prepared Korean foods to go. Japchae, KFC, bento boxes, sushi & more. Raw marinated meats, cut veggies, frozen dumplings, etc. Run to Montclair & explore this shop. Plenty of street parking in the neighborhood.

Great place to grab a bite after hitting the trails. Seaweed is fresh. Potato noddles with veggies are divine. Friendly staff, highly recommend.

Their selection of instant noodles is very impressive. The owners are also really nice and sociable. In addition to groceries, their store is one of the only places in the area where you can pick up Korean food outside of downtown or telegraph.

Super nice people, lots of variety, and convenient. I can't believe I didn't know about it before. This is going to be my go to Korean place.
