Cole Hardware

My local hardware store that’s fun to pop in every now and then! They’ve got an upstairs full of pretty much anything you could need for your place like pots, plants, cleaning supplies, kitchen utensils, etc etc. Then there’s the downstairs with more hardware and equipment and home improvement type things. I love the fact they also sell pies - makes it feel more homey and unique compared to a bigger corporate chain ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
The staff are also very friendly and make conversation! Never felt afraid to ask them for something I’m looking for.

Always friendly service here. Company tries to fit into the community. Senior discount offered. In addition to typical hardware merchandise, there is a good selection of household, BBQ, and garden products.

Went in to grab a few things and was greeted at the door! Amazing service from Bob! This store has an amazing selection of plant products as well as many other things!

Cole has a great selection and is a much more pleasant experience then going to Home Depot. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. They were really patient with me while I had them make several small sample sizes of interior paint so I could do this awesome mural. Thank you to Emiel and the rest of the team at Cole for helping me. My project came out awesome!

Super happy with the services here. They had the bolts I needed for my car and I could buy the exact number I needed. They usually have what I’m looking for and the basement area is a real treasure trove. Nice neighborhood hardware store.

I appreciate the fact they're open earlier than almost all other hardware stores because I'm an early riser.

They also have a little bit of everything, for I've never left empty handed needing to find what I needed somewhere else.

So far, always friendly service and prices you can expect.

I love this place! They have almost anything you would want from a neighborhood hardware store. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. You can shop and be left alone to explore if that's your style or ask for help and get it from awesome people. Also, you can bring your pets in with you. If your pet is a dog, they'll offer treats. I've also seen parrots, lizards and cats.

They have a lot of different items aside from tools and hardware! The workers are nice and helpful too. This spot always comes in handy and will continue doing business there! :)

I stumbled upon Cole's Hardware, and let me tell you, I'm so glad I did!!! What an amazing place!! From the moment I walked in, I felt like I was welcomed like a neighbor by the friendly and helpful staff. Alayna and Athena went above and beyond to make sure I found everything I needed. They took the time to walk me through the different products and even provided recommendations on what would work best for me. What really blew me away was their graciousness when my phone ran out of battery and I needed to call a ride home. They didn't hesitate to offer me a charger. Akane and Damion were also so helpful and shared local tips !

And the store itself is a treasure trove of quality home goods. amazing variety and quality!

I'd say the best, if not one of the best stores in the Bay Area for excellent customer service. All the employees I've ever encountered are always helpful, kind and knowledgable. Worth spending a few extra bucks versus Amazon to get that connection! It is invaluable!

The neighborhood hardware store: the friendliest place in town! Not only do they have everything you could ever need for your home, garden, or camping trip (and will order you anything else you can dream of), but the staff is incredible. They will help you fix anything and will likely learn your childrens' names in the process.

This is becoming one of my favorite places to go! This store is huge - so huge that I haven't been downstairs yet where the more typical home improvement products are sold. The first floor has a huge selection of products for gardening, the kitchen, and even your pets.
Most recently, I needed to paint a big project. Emil was incredibly helpful, breaking down the products I would need and providing tips on color and painting supplies. I totally trust him and the rest of the team!

Short version: they are great. Know their stuff and go out if their way to help you. Today, they didn't have the eco planter pot I wanted but it's always worth a visit.

I dont know what I can add. But as a “happy returns “ location( free shipping) I also got a $5 coupon to buy something over $10. Just so happened I needed a quart of paint. Thank you cole hardware!

Good place on College Ave for neighborhood misc. household needs and contractor last minute, last mile pick-up.

My favorite store in the neighborhood! Cole Hardware has really great quality products. All the staff are helpful and knowledgeable about their products. One in particular, Jon, has been a great resource in one of my home improvement projects. Also love that they have a monthly happy hour and seasonal workshops.

Yes, they have Benjamin Moore paint, and they mix it expertly — but the real reason to shop here is the truly incredible staff. Every single person is smart, friendly, and above-and-beyond helpful (Emiel and Kira are especially great, and made a recent home-improvement project a pleasure to complete).

The prices are also surprisingly reasonable, especially for a store not backed by the usual corporate megaliths. Absolutely worth a special trip.

Surprisingly large, this hardware store seemed to have everything. Staff was proactive in trying to answer questions and were able to help me find an obscure screw type. You can safely skip Home Depot for most of your home projects and come here.

So handy to have nearby, and it’s rare they don’t have what I’m looking for. My dog tries to pull us in to get treats from the lovely staff every time we pass by.
