I was here around 5 pm 5/18/24. I want to start by saying the young man who took care of us went above and beyond. He was very attentive and i really appreciated that he spoke Spanish because my family only speaks Spanish. I was also really happy with the flavors of ice cream. The coffee flavor was really good and the banana nut. I appreciate the samples aswell. And for people who cant have dairy, its all dairy free!
10/10 highly recommended

Rich and creamy non-dairy ice cream.

I had a scoop of chocolate orange chip ice cream and it was delicious. It didn't have a weird texture or look strange. The prices are pretty reasonable and they do have napkins. Overall, this is a great place to get not just a vegan dessert, but a great dessert.

Located inside a very interesting food market. This ice cream store is a gospel for all vegan ice cream lovers. Made with Cashew n love. Matcha is rich n tasty. A perfect dessert after dine in at the food court.

Cashew ice cream?? Yes please!! I I'm always up for trying anything and everything, including non-dairy ice creams, but this place will actually make a convert out of anyone, including people that are diehard dairy eaters. My 13-year-old son was really skeptical, but I convince him to try it, and he loved it! This place is terrific, I highly recommend.

Cashew milk-based ice cream with an option for a gluten-free come (in addition to gluten-full cones). Great options for those who are vegan, lactose intolerant, or otherwise dairy-free. (Obviously not for those with cashew/nut allergies.) Super creamy texture, lots of delicious-sounding flavors. I tried the caramel almond which the lady behind the counter said was the most popular, but I also tried the mocha chip which was her personal favorite - and I preferred the mocha chip, and got a scoop of that! A nice treat when visiting The Public Market!

Mr. Dewie's doesn't get enough love considering the superlative scoops they're dishing out. Luscious, rich, and silky smooth, these are on par with ultra premium pints, rarely seen in vegan form.

Don't make me pick favorites. I tasted every flavor available just to make sure they're all upholding that same standard, so rest assured, you can't go wrong. Cup or cone, milkshake or sandwich; these are tough choices to be made, which simply begs the question, why don't you go more often if you can? I know it's going to be my first stop every time I visit from here on in.

Just look at that perfect tower of matcha, golden spice, and lemon creme I was handed in a matter of seconds after finally ordering. Check out the Public Market Emeryville location and my friend Dom will do you right.

One of the best vegan ice cream places I’ve ever been to. Strawberry was amazing. The chocolate orange flavor is also unique and worth it. Ask for two flavors in one cup :)

Mr. Dewie’s Cashew Creamery is my #1 ice cream joint in the East Bay! Impossible to choose just one flavor — I usually have to beg for a 3-in-1.

Looking forward to when they open up again after the holidays, as I have extolled the virtues of their offerings to my companion, who unlike me, is *not* lactose-intolerant…yet can’t resist anything creamy, sweet, and cold. 🍨😋

Their ice cream is delicious. I’m lactose intolerant, and their stuff is made of cashew nut—which i am happy to chew down the whole thing and not worry about a thing!

I got the Matcha and banana nut flavors. THEY WERE AMAZING! Not sweet at all, and there’re tons of flavors. I can taste the ingredients inside!

I love all the dairy free options they have for ice cream. Will definitely come back here. They let you sample the flavors and the lady who helped us today was very nice.

My first experience was at the shop of Solano in Albany. I bought a cone and sat outside began my journey of vegan ice cream. I have loved this ice cream ever since. I have tried all the flavors (including the special flavors) and as I write this I'm thinking, "what is my favorite flavor?" I love most of them and like one or two of them...matcha & golden spice. Thank you Ari and Andrew for bringing us a delicious alternative!! 🙏🏾💐

I enjoyed the chocolate orange chip today. Was perfect for what was a hot day for here (77 degrees).

I find this to be a perfect dessert or treat— quality product at a fair price. $6 after tax for a generous scoop of non-dairy creaminess.

Delicious ice cream! I've had the chocolate, strawberry, mint chip and caramel...can't go wrong at Mr. Dewies! The chocolate is super rich in the best way. The strawberry tastes like it was made from freshly picked strawberries. The caramel is like nothing I've tasted at any other ice cream spot. Oh and if you're in the mood for hot fudge-there's is vegan! Plus the people working are always very nice and patient.
