Colonial Donuts

Colonial had a great selection of local donuts and pastries at a reasonable price! As someone who used to live in Chicago, where the coffee and donut selection is outstanding, this is a great Oakland mainstay. On my first visit I had the maple bacon donut, which is slightly more expensive but worth it, and also got a lemon pastry. I will definitely come back!

Colonial has been a local donut spot for ages and I love their glazed and chocolate donuts but I didn’t know they have recently been making mochi donuts Friday-Sunday?!?!!! I found out through their instagram and had to try some and they were so good! Chewy but not to bland anyway I am so happy to that this local spot I have loved now makes mochi donuts.

Amazing donut place in Oakland! I go there all the time. They are open 24 hours and are great for late night cravings. Also really well priced.

got a good tasty donut with coffee at $5.15, paid with credit card as their minimum is $5 and no cash bill bigger than $20. sketchy looking lotto machines as they’re all tagged up but they’re right in front of the workers?? I wonder if the workers are in on it 🤔

The egg 🍳 and cheese croissant 🥐 sandwiches and blueberry 🫐 cake donut were absolutely amazing!

The LAST 24 hour ANYTHING (except the sketchy laundromat on Broadway) in Oakland! Plus, the donuts are delicious, albeit a bit on the pricey side. The Ube donuts are amazing! Available in glazed or crumb (I prefer the glazed) , they're super tasty moist rings of purple cakey heaven! The raised Maple Bacon(when available, I know on Fridays for sure) and the iced Red Velvet are winners as well. Next time your sweet tooth comes calling at 3 a.m. head over to Colonial. You'll be glad you did!!

This place! Best blueberry cake donut and French crullers. Always reliable. They do accept credit card.

Only place open in the middle of the night and what a pleasant surprise these donuts were. Delicious & great prices - was surprised this place wasn’t busier. Actually came back to get a dozen for the drive home😂👌

Open 24 hours a day! The donuts are soooo good. My raised chocolate was warm and fluffy. The chocolate frosting wasn’t too sugary. The French cruller was full of air. I have no complaints other than the drive.

Always friendly. Too bad they had to lock the doors and serve out of the little window after they got robbed again. They work so hard and deserve better.

I patiently drive out of my way to shop at Colonial Donuts specifically to get my favorite donuts...old-fashioned or buttermilk. Of course there is the range of traditional donut choices but also have really yummy other flavors you can't find anywhere else!!

The donut shop is an absolute gem! Their raised chocolate donuts are to die for, with a perfect balance of rich chocolate and fluffy texture. The best part is how fresh the donuts are - each bite feels like it was made just moments ago. Highly recommend this place for all donut enthusiasts!

Does anybody know what this donut is called?!? I had this green matcha and the taro flavor and oh my god they were SO FREAKING GOOD.
I live so close to them and it’s dangerous. Try this kind, whatever it’s called, they are so soso good.

Omg Tuesday late night and th3 wifey having one of those cravings. The Best move I made was the U turn I took to stop at this dount shop and that's when I had an epic moment when I saw red velvet dount cake with chocolate dount at this point I was juiced but when I took a bite my taste bites had a Fiesta it was amazing,

It's open 24 hours, so it's always time for donuts. Service is fast and friendly. The donuts were fresh and delicious! I will be back
