Brad was super attentive, his attention to detail is immaculate! The vibes at this barbershop is some of the best ive seen! The cut was also very nice, and the barbers here actually sanitize their equipment. Very much recommended!

Wonderful little hidden gem in the East Bay. The shop has been here over 100 years, and the quality of the cuts and the barbers is top notch. Every time I've gone for a cut I get to hear a new story about the area or the shop - the conversation is great. If you like a good ol' fashioned quality haircut this is the shop for you. They just don't make em like this anymore, genuinely great.

Tim Hammons is a newer face at this barber shop but I believe he actually has the most skill! Best haircut I have gotten here yet! 👍👍👍 He has been cutting hair in the bay area for 20 years + I believe.

Book ahead a few days. Old timey feel. Hot towel and straight razor on back of neck standard with haircut. Shaves/beards cost a bit more.

These guys are amazing. Great haircuts, good conversation. This is the sister shop of Temescal Alley Barbershop, but you can make appointments. I now prefer Al's, it's smaller and more friendly.

They are serious about proper COVID precautions from the moment one makes an online reservation right through till taking extra time to clean and disinfect everything before allowing another customer in the door. Incredibly friendly barber shop where everyone seems to enjoy what they do. I came in with a cut in mind I had never done and Dave knew exactly what I wanted and the best way to do it. Make sure you book ahead because you'll almost never get in as a walk in. Will definitely keep coming here for a long time.

After six months in East Bay, I finally found my go-to barber shop. I’ve had two too many negative experiences at People’s in Uptown. As someone who has thick Asian hair and requires something of a chia-pet attention to detail, these guys are it. They listen well to what I want, and execute. My go-to guy is Paul. Give them a go.
