Bardo Lounge & Supper Club

Cocktails and the fish dish were really great. We reserved for a table, but ended up sitting at the bar. Wasn't really happy with that, but the atmosphere and food were beyond our expectations.

I was torn between giving the place a 4 or a 5. Some of the dishes were great. Others were just ok. Of what they’re currently serving - we really enjoyed the gnocchi and duck and potato crochettes. The fish of the day and tuna carpaccio were only ok. Drinks were great. Desert - poached pear with blue cheese ice cream - was more weird than delicious.

Great mid-mod atmosphere and service was definitely solid.

I would definitely return.

Went unexpectedly for drinks and dessert at 9 p.m. on a Saturday evening. We only had to wait ~10 minutes and was accommodated near the door in an intimate corner lounge. Perfect spot to see the entire venue with swanky lighting. Great music, bar, and more loft style seating upstairs that looks out to the below. Pleasantly surprised...great decor and vibe! Service was amazing, lots of cocktails, Mocktails, wine selection and delicious desserts. This place is calling me back to try dinner!!

A great family evening of drinks and dinner! Started with fantastic cocktails in the lounge. Dinner (monkfish, duck, pork chop) were delicious up in the loft seating area. Service was professional and responsive! A new favorite in the East Bay!

10/10 ambiance, great live music (Sunday's), delicious food and drinks, and friendly staff. I was a bit disappointed that after confirming with the restaurant that they would bring a dessert with a candle in it for the birthday girl the dessert came without it. Not a major miss, but it did put a slight damper on what was otherwise a stellar evening.
I'm definitely coming back again and plan to make this a regular hangout since it's right down the street from me.

Wow is all I can say. I absolutely loved the vibe and our server was fantastic. I was looking for the perfect dinner spot for 5 when I stumbled upon Bardo. What a spectacular find. I can't wait to go back to try other items on the menu. The food was spot on and just amazing. The apertif bar cart was also very cool. Definitely recommend and will go back.

The food and drinks are delicious. We came on the first night and it was a bit slow but I imagine they'll sort that out. The atmosphere is awesome. Everything is clearly very curated to fit the vibe. Dinner is Prix fixe for $59 and includes an appetizer, entree, and dessert. They serve different dishes in the lounge, which is kind of a bummer because you can't get them upstairs yet. Overall a great addition to the area and definitely worth the visit!

This is one of my favorite dining experiences in Oakland! EVERY SINGLE course is excellent here— apps, entrees, drinks, desserts. The whole program is thoughtful and flavorful. Food is well-seasoned, beautiful and creative. I’m not even vegan and I enjoy their seasonal vegan dish.

Truly a treat!

The food and the ambience were sublime. I've been dreaming about the French onion dip and the chicken and grits so much so that we booked another table to eat them again!

Perfect for a date night.. loved the service and drinks. Reserve ahead for a good table. Music was playing in the background but not too loud, was perfect to have conversations.
Cant wait to go back!

Managed to snag a seat at the bar without a reservation. Very friendly staff. Unique drinks. Banana bruleé dessert was amazing!

Stopped in on a Wednesday evening at 6:45p to have dinner at the bar with a GF. Such a nice venue with a swanky vibe. I've previously been here on the weekend for dessert and cocktails, but not for dinner. Nice selection of wine and cocktails. I had their shrimp & grits along with fries with aoili, and it was so delicious!! I'm definitely coming back. 😍

The drinks were innovated, Appetizers yummy and the main entree's memorable.. We had the Lamb 2 ways and also Chicken two ways.. Both the entries were delicious. The service was excellent.Very pleasant surprise. And what's the best part of it is in our neighborhood. We definitely will be back for more amazing food.

They seem to have nailed something a little different here - and that is not easy. 60s supper club meets modern Oakland . The decor was very retro but cool and cozy. We ate upstairs in the (tiny) dining room. The cocktails we're retro themed and tasty! The dinner was prix fixe with options for each course. The food was very tasty and beautifully presented. The service was completely on point. We will be back soon.

Great place for lounging around with friends with good drinks downstairs. Then go upstairs to have a nice dinner with small plates for sharing with friends.

A neighborhood favourite! Amazing mid-century vibes. Everything from the fixtures in the bathroom, to the glassware are vintage. It really feels like being invited to dinner party at a friend's home.

Menu is fairly seasonal and always excellent. I've never had a meal here that left me disappointed. The bar staff are wonderful, and while offering an extensive cocktail list, will happily mix up whatever you're into.
