The girl on the fruitvail store was not very pleasant or helpful‼ But the guys at the downtown Oakland store were amazing friendly helpful I'm 75 years old and handicap and they went beyond to help me Thank you so much. Downtown Oaklandish.

Great selection of merchandise and awesome staff. Especially Krystal, Bre'on, Tre and Dre. They were very professional and courteous to me and my daughter. I get compliments on my gear. Thanks for my Bay Area drip. Love all my apparel. This Oaklandish shop is definitely the place to check for fly gear and elite service. You can feel the Bay Area vibe and sense the pride as you look at through merchandise. Once again shoutout to the staff. 🗽

The staff members were super-friendly and honest about the fit of my hoodie when I was last here a while back. I ended up getting a more slim-fitting one and it actually sort of keeps me motivated to exercise and keep trim (just so I can fit in it). I get compliments on it all the time.

The selection of products is nicely curated. You'll find things here that you won't easily find at other stores.

On a separate but somewhat related note, a friend recently got me a two-toned mug from this store, which has quickly become my favorite go-to mug.

Every time I visit Oakland I try to poke my head into this shop to see what's in store (literally).

great store. caution: their designs come and go. I've thought I'd wait to buy a shirt then find out a design is forever gone. in other words buy it while it lasts?
they support local artists and have more than clothes at their store. I have seen some of their shirts at the Oakland A's store inside the Coliseum.
employees are great. great vibes. I have gifted shirts here and sent them overseas.
(saying that youre from Oakland-ish instead of San Leandro, Alameda, etc. makes sense. I usually say SF Bay; SF East Bay to be exact)

Best store ever. If you are an Oakland native or an out of town guest the clothing and accessories at Oaklandish are a must have. Super soft hoodies and T-Shirts in all sizes....Proud of the Town!!!

They were really sweet and helpful. I came in looking specifically for stickers and she even gave me a couple logo ones. Can't wait to have time and drop some real cash in this store! :-)

Helpful employees and there are plenty of clothing options to choose. Great choices to represent the town that I grew up in, although it's slightly not inexpensive. Overall, the money goes back to the community according to their mission statement.

Great t & hoodie design. They have some children and baby clothes and and some cool stationary and a few random trinkets. Good quality. I've given a few shirts to friends as gifts and they have really liked them. The sizes can run a bit small sometimes. The customer service is always great and friendly. The prices are a bit high but good local quality. Greatly recommend! 😊

LOVE Oaklandish! Great tee shirts and great staff! For this past xmas, I wanted to get my husband the perfect something from Oakland (we moved away 10 years ago). I found the most amazing A's shirt, but the size was not available. Special shout out to David, who helped me find what I needed, and for his assists through the online ordering - he went way above and beyond! Thank you so much, and my husband loves his shirts!

My favorite brand of clothing since they were operating out of a tiny little warehouse space just a few blocks away from me. Great quality clothing (the sweatshirts run a bit small, but just grab one size bigger), really cool designs, and over the years, they have really managed to turn into an Oakland tour de force, supporting local artists of all types, and giving everyone in the Bay Area a whole host of reasons to see Oakland in the same way I have for 10+ years.

Great store, great staff, great Oakland garb. Love the brand and the style, and harnessing of Oakland and urban cloth to represent the Town with pride and culture. I moved away years ago and still come back here to represent what I still refer to as my home.

This place is Oakland boutique-ified. Very few items I did not want to buy. Got a birthday gift for a buddy who digs Too Short. Could have bought him a dozen jams and all would have hit. Staff knows their inventory. The Town! I'll shop here frequently. Very active in the community too.

I like oaklandish and they have some unique designs. They also support local artists and give to the community. I think it's kind of a myth that they somehow contribute to or encourage gentrification. There's plenty of room in Oakland for local artists to thrive.

Great shop, friendly and helpful staff. Items can be pricey but are high quality and it's a great business to support. Good sanitation practices amidst the covid pandemic!

Cool tshirt place. They have a different approach to buying clothes. I guess it's like a clothing bar. You see what you like and a person comes around and asks you what size, and goes and finds it. So mostly all the clothes you see are a display. I like the concept. You know your going to get good customer service. A little pricey but the have cool stuff and it's for a good cause.

Great clothing provided as locally as possible. There's a small price premium,but no more than you'd see at any other boutique or fashion oriented store, and this way you know you're supporting your local industry.

(Disclaimer: I have done some photo work for Oaklandish in the past) I was always impressed with the community work that Oaklandish has done. In fact, that is how I got involved with them. I think I saw their t-shirts at an event in Oakland and decided that I really wanted an Oaklandish shirt since I was back in East Bay after spending a number of years in Santa Cruz. The Oaklandish store on Broadway has a wonderful variety of cool clothing and gear for just about anyone. The layout and design is clean and hip. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Periodically they hold various events at the Broadway location. For example, last night they did a Q&A with some of the case from the movie "Sorry To Bother You" which was filmed in Oakland and directed by Boots Riley. If you are looking for a gift that represents the Bay or just some dope clothing (shirts, hoodies, hats, jackets, etc.), then Oaklandish is the place to go!

I've got a few shirts from here and they are all top quality and long lasting. Love their unique designs and their love for the town. Great community pride and involvement.
