Best Western Plus Bayside Hotel

Wow!!!! This hotel was much much better than I even expected! We got a queen balcony with water view room and we were extremely happy! I drove from Oregon to get a tattoo from a local artist (Natalia at Inkz n Thangz!!) it went longer than expected so we didn’t check in until 11:55 pm. The young lady at the front desk was funny and super nice!!!(wish I had gotten her name. Night shift on 3/8/24) she really deserves to be praised for professionalism. The room was amazing!! From the bathtub to the bed, it was wonderful!!! If you have never been to Oakland this is a good place to start. We felt safe and really enjoyed ourselves. The breakfast was nice and being able to walk along the water after breakfast was just lovely!

We will Definitely be back.

Best Western Plus Bayside was such a pleasant surprise. The location is on the water with a nice walking path to take a stroll, the sister hotel has a bar with a very nice bar tender, the room is spacious with a deep tub and a balcony over looking the water. It was such a a nice stay for such a reasonable price. I'll definitely stay here again!

Great friendly staff. Parking was well lit and lobby was clean. Room had a great view and everything worked and was clean.

great room, great service, great location we got two queen beds I hope they are about to get new mattresses( you know how bad hotel beds get beat up) these were getting bad too room has a fold out couch bed that one of my two sons used he said "it's fine" 🙄. room has a view of the sound or bay or whatever you call that water way it was nice, Best Western is our go to travel hotel, and we would definitely stay here again. oddly enough, I didn't take any pictures of this trip over the room. not sure why. oh well 🤷‍♂

We enjoy this place. Staff is professional. Most rooms are updated and adequately comfortable. We have a water facing room and the veiw is lovely.

Room was clean,nice, comfortable. Excellent breakfast,very nice and accommodating staff, price was reasonable. The Bar and lounge next door at sister hotel was an added treat. I would recommend this hotel and definitely stay there again

I loved my stay here. The room was so big and clean, bed were comfy and the shower pressure was amazing. They even put a plush blanket on each bed which was very nice. My mom and I enjoyed breakfast each morning and their coffee machine is to die for. It makes all kinds of coffees and hot drinks! The staff were kind and helpful and the view was everything. We woke up each morning to the bay and nice walks along the water. We are coming back in about 2 weeks for a 5 day stay and of course we will be staying here. Very nice property and great location.

Clean and very nice. Rooms were great, staff was great- the lady at night desk, she was very easy to work with. I wanted to upgrade my room and borrow a phone charger and she was super accomodating. Big nice soaking tubs and separate walk in shower was a nice surprise. I wouldn't recommend paying for the extra view and balcony, it's just a very boring little canal back there, but still nice. Worth the great price, very pleasant night stay, will def stay again.

I had a great stay here, came in for a long weekend. The room was great , the view is so incredible and the environment is very calm. Everything was clean , the breakfast was great, especially their coffee:) will be coming back again.

Come for the waffles, stay for the view! Great place for our little family!

Being a gold member this was one of the nicer BW’s I’ve stayed in. The room was very spacious and we were on the water side so we had a beautiful view of the water. The bathtub was nice and spacious, which my 6 year old son loved. My only complaint was the water in the shower seemed controlled and didn’t get very warm, even though I had the lever turned as far as it would go. Besides that it was a nice hotel and we had no other issues. We would definitely stay again if we are in the area.

Room was huge with a great little patio to sit out on with morning coffee. Bed was super comfortable, lots of pillows, and the bathroom was also huge (for a hotel), with all the amenities you would need: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion, face soap and more than enough towels. The coffee and machine were delicious, and the small fridge also had a small freezer.

There are many reviewers that loved the breakfast options, I didn’t love anything but there was a solid selection of cold, and hot options. BUT there is an awesome coffee machine in lobby by breakfast area that makes espresso drinks that was delicious!

I arrived late on a Friday around 1:30am (drove up from LA) and if there is any staff person who truly shone her brightest light is was, LaRiiyaa!

She was so kind and made the checking in process easy and as quick as possible. Highly recommend a raise and whatever shifts she wants!

There was a payment issue between my online reservation and my credit card left for incidentals but when I alerted LaRiiyaa she immediately moved to reverse the incorrect charge, and hotel management also refunded my reservation costs for the inconvenience.

Over all this is a great hotel, that is reasonably priced, well appointed, and well located in Oakland. On a sunny *Saturday afternoon* I was able to get to the General’s Residence in SF in less than an hour - which is kinda miraculous lol

We are in town for a Giants game and needed a place to stay located between the airport and the ferry. The rooms here are clean and comfortable and if you choose Bayside you've got a view. Reception was really helpful and courteous. We appreciated the bag with granola bars that we were offered because we won't be able to eat breakfast due to our early flight. The lounge area is large and filled with large windows looking out to the bay. We'd definitely stay here again. Fyi, there is an additional charge for parking but it's fair and most hotels have a parking fee in this area.

This hotel is shockingly nice. Room was so nice with a patio overlooking the water, big tub, separate shower, comfy bed, lots of space, spotlessly clean. Was in town for work and was so glad I chose this spot to stay.

We arrived around 10 pm and found the sofa bed was already beautifully made. Such a pleasant surprise because 99.9% hotels are not so considerate! Nice room and great breakfast.

Best Western manages a fine property here. Despite the location being sketchy in general, this place feels safe. I accidentally left my car door open for twenty minutes while loading my car. Anybody could have stolen all of my stuff. I wouldn’t leave it open after dark and expect similar results but anyway. There are decent views of the bay and its very convenient to the Oakland Stadium for an Athletic’s game. The staff was friendly enough.

Very nice BWP.. super clean, staff was great, breakfast also. Nice to walk along the water. This is one of the few hotels with quiet ac units. Great job!

I'd like to thank Victoria, Gabriela, Abolonia, David, and the other staff at the Best Western for creating a welcoming home away from home during my family's 3 week stay. Everyone was friendly, the facility was always clean, the accommodations were comfortable, and security kept our vehicles safe. I wish we stayed under different circumstances but this location was chosen for its being less than 15 minutes from Alta Bates Summit Hospital. Also, it's only about 15 minutes from Grand Ave. where it seems they have a great selection of places to eat.

Great location, clean room, and family friendly staff. I’d definitely stay here again.
