Oakland Marriott City Center

I've stayed at this hotel at least 10 times over the last couple of years. This is a great hotel and the best way to spend time in Oakland. The rooms are spacious and always clean. The reception staff is very personable and inviting. I want to especially recognize Rosa in the housekeeping department. About a month ago I forgot my wedding ring on the nightstand. I called the hotel and was eventually routed to Rosa. Along the way, each hotel employee I talked to was very helpful and empathetic. Rosa immediately tracked down the ring and coordinated with the UPS Store to have it returned to me. I was truly impressed and thankful for the personal touch provided by everyone, especially Rosa. Thanks very much to all. I look forward to my next stay at this excellent Marriott!

This facility is nice. Oakland is hit n miss with nice vs bad areas. This place is in a nice area yet two blocks in any direction could get you in trouble.
Stay in the hotel area or Uber to nicer areas and you will be fine. Great staff.
Very accommodating. The rooms are excellent. Great views. Only downside is they had no pool or any resort type amenities. It’s fantastic for business people and conventions types. Not so great for lengthy or leisurely stays.

I stayed at the Oakland Marriott city center for a conference I was attending. Check-in was very easy and efficient, the room was clean and ready when we arrived, everything was very convenient, the parking the restaurants on site, so there was no need to leave the facility because it had everything that we needed during our stay at the conference. There was a mini fridge in the room, which was perfect. It allowed me to be able to keep my leftovers, chilled and I was able to take them with me when I left on my last day. I would absolutely recommend staying here again.

I live locally so I'm not often looking for a hotel room in Oakland, but my workplace has now held week long events here two years in a row.

The staff here is wonderful- they're truly kind and make it their mission to ensure everyone on site is having a great experience. I can't count the number of staff members who stopped me to say "Really if you need ANYTHING at all let me know!"

I'd absolutely recommend booking the Marriott for your event.

It's all that you'd expect. Location? Eh.. Where else could you put it? Parking is a little weird. Beds sleep nice and the place is clean.

First time visiting Oakland Marriott City Center. We're ver happy with our hotel and room. The Staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is super nice and beautiful. I highly recommend this hotel and location. The area has beautiful and historical buildings in walking distances.

I recently visit my daughter at university and wanted to stay somewhere that felt safe for us. The location is excellent, attached and secure parking is a little expensive but very convenient with/out access. The hotel is lovely and rooms are perfect. We were on the 11th floor with a wonderful sunrise view. Service is exceptional and the room service was very good. I’m usually disappointed with the quality of room service food, but late night snacks and breakfast was very enjoyable. When we had an unexpected urgent care visit the morning of our checkout, we were given a complimentary late checkout which was greatly appreciated. Will definitely stay again!

I've had many stays at Oakland Marriott and I've not had an experience that hasn't made me want to come back. Dahli and Lupe are some of the best people there, they give you a great welcoming experience. Dahli however is my absolute favorite, a real genuine heart, who goes above and beyond and always greets with a smile. As long as they continue doing what they're doing, i'll always stay here!

Awesome hotel! My husband and I stayed here for a weekend getaway. The building is beautiful and quiet. Rooms were spotless. Service was great. The 12th Street BART station is one block away, which is convenient. I highly recommend checking out local restaurants in this neighborhood, too, especially Oakland Street Food.

The only issue I could see with this hotel is they charge $50 a day for parking, which is crazy. We parked on the street and had zero problems.

I would definitely stay here again.

Dolly, Dolly,Dolly is a dream come true.. I showed up on a whim hours before my checking in hoping that I would be able to check into my room early. I did not expect to receive such a warm greeting. Dolly's is the epitome of what a customer service experience should be. Not only was I able to check into my room early it was done in such a polite manner that I will continue book my future stays at this location. Thank you for everything, Dolly!! You are a rare gem!

I got to relax with my wife we turned our phones off and had a awesome time no kids no bad juju from other people just peaceful.

Had the absolute best experience here 5/12-5/14!! We arrived to the hotel around 10 am and we were able to check into our room immediately! The woman at the front (apologies I didn’t get her name) provided excellent customer service and made the checkin smooth. The room was beautiful and had a wonderful view of the courtyard. Each staff member that I encountered was very courteous and shout out to our room attendant Elvia, she was so sweet. Valet was right on time and courteous as well. Overall I will definitely make this hotel my go to anytime I visit Oakland!!

Clean, upscale, well-maintained hotel room. Restaurant was wonderful. Highly recommended. I would definitely stay here again.

I stayed at the Marriott 7 years ago. Convenient for public transportation, great restaurants nearby, in the heart of downtown. Great alternative if you don't want to get a room in San Francisco. Excellent staff and service.

Nice hotel. Very clean rooms. Great room service. We enjoyed our stay here. Bed are comfortable. Clean bathrooms. Parking is too expensive though.

Loved staying at this location. Great views of the city. Lots of places to go walking distance since parking is rough and can get expensive. Best to plan out your days if you are staying for some time. Lots of things to do and see. The suite was beautiful. The lighting is beautiful can’t say this enough. Beautiful views & beautiful sunsets 🌅

It's a nice hotel with nice staff and the rooms have great views.

I really liked this hotel. Everyone was nice and friendly, and it has everything you need. It’s not trying to be annoying and trendy (no iPads for light switches or loud music nonsense). Also perfect location steps away from BART. Gym was nice and never crowded, restaurant was nice. I’ll be back! 🤓

This hotel was great! Staff was very attentive! They gave us an upgrade and early check in! The bed was super comfy and the hotel was in a great spot in Oakland! The room had a great view overlooking the city!

Right off bart station super convenient.
View from the room was amazing looking into the bay. Could stay in the room and work very comfortably.
Also Club M lounge is comfortable.
