Bakery La Mejor

I stopped in the other day and had a great experience. When I came in, I was warmly greeted. She was on the back and said she would be up in a second, and I said it's all good, no rush. I was just looking. She emerged from the back and said hello and asked me if I had any questions to please ask. At first, I did not see the cookies but maneuvered my mobility scooter and found them. I picked a few out for my step-dad and kids and went to pay for them. She very politely asked if everything was ok with me and why i was on a scooter, which then struck up a friendly conversation about how she felt good for me and my positive attitude and knew I will be better and walking again.

I really appreciated the conversation and will definitely be back.

Love this panadería! Moved to the Bay Area during the pandemic and this was the first bakery I’ve been too and haven’t gone anywhere else. The people are super nice and the bread itself is amazing! There’s a reason for their 4 star rating and the quality of the bread is 🤌🏼. Please support this shop as it’s a family owned business!

I love this place! I have been coming here since I was a little kid and now I bring my kids. In my opinion I have not tasted any Mexican bread that has compared.

I have been going to this bakery with my family for so many years. We have always had a great experience and it is a family-run bakery. The staff members have always been very friendly and the bread is delicious. You really can't go wrong with anything from this bakery, but I always recommend this place to everyone I know!

I have lived in AZ and now portland. Came to visit. This place lives up to its name. I've been craving a chocolate concha and yellow sugar concha. The best bread ever.

The mantecada I had was the fuffiest and most amazing taste ever. This is the best muffin in the world.

Good assortment of authentic Mexican pasteries i.e. Pan Dulce. Pasteries are well baked with good genuine cream frosting not the stuff that comes out of a box. Their service is also great. Definitely would recommend and definitely worth trying! Decent pricing - not low, neither too high !

Great customer service and they carry one of the breads from Michoacán that’s really hard to find anywhere else in the Bay Area. Some people called it cuernitos salados or cuernitos de agua, they are great to dip in hot chocolate.

Just how I remembered the pink cookies totally amazing. The lady who owns this place is so nice and helpful I haven't had a some of the items she has in stock in awhile but they brought back some great memories of how they are supposed to taste! I would return many more times just to taste everything she has to offer...

Best pan dulce in the tri city area I come all the way from Hayward lived in Fremont tried a lot of places and la mejor is #1 love love love them! Recommended for authentic Mexican taste just like Mexico ❤

Hadn’t been to this bakery in years. In fremont we’re unfortunate. I do visit one in Newark occasionally.Last week I tried La Mejor. Omg I found empanadas de calabaza, hard to find and they’re delicious! Other pan too!
Atmosphere amazing warm and welcoming and Alicia is top notch customer Representing, she greets from moment she sees you. The oldies playing were great too, oldies in panadería, oh yes made it more pleasant. Will be visiting more often. Born and raised Decoto, sad that don’t have the luxuries as much in Fremont.

I ordered a special birthday cake here for my niece. The lady over the counter was very friendly and super hot! She did an amazing job and the cake was super delicious. Definitely recommend this bakery ...

Went for the first time today and I'm glad I did! Huge selection, bought 10 different items and every single one was fresh and delicious!! will definitely be returning!

El pan está caro pero vale la pena. No he encontrado otro lugar donde tenga el sabor auntentico de Mexico. Seguiremos regresando.
The bread is expensive but it’s worth it. We haven’t found the authentic Mexican bread in the Bay Area. We’ll come back for more soon
