Oakland Public Library: Rockridge Branch

Rockridge library, you rock! Thank you for your service, it brightens my day. If you have not been to the library you should go. They have books...that you read. Have a ball learn something new.

Great friendly staff and knowledgeable staff. With its teen-first area and toddler story times , it's easily the most neighborhoodsie library I've seen in the Bay.

I earned a 5.0 gpa this past summer by studying and completing my finals at this library. The staff and security are the best. Depending on the day or hour, it can get a bit noisy, but that's mostly and only because new-age parents haven't taught their children about how and when to use their library voice once they enter those doors. This has been the same for some adults as well. The children I get but the adults come in like it's a Starbucks or Parent Teacher Night at their school. This has been the norm at most of the libraries I've visited this year. Oh well--- what can ya do? Noise cancelling headphones are the best.

A lovely library!! Great big windows and lots of natural light. Lots of books! Helpful librarians. Easy parking. Loved coming in here!

I visited yesterday to obtain a library card, and I was thoroughly impressed with the knowledgeable clerks (Ryan) and librarians. I asked questions regarding resources for local educators, and the librarian, Erika, provided me with helpful information and contact information for whom to contact in regards to my request. I work with teenagers, and I was sad that this library currently has a vacant spot for teen services coordinator; however, I hope that whomever in the library system and patrons are reading this can push the hierarchy to fill this position! Teens need solid programming and resources especially in the summer months, and the library is a wonderful and central place for that!

Overall, I will be frequenting this library often. I had a great first impression on the competent services provided at this location.

Everyone was nice, helpful, and had patience with the little ones. A wide selection of books. Quick holds processing. Great place to go!

The librarians here are always so helpful and kind to me and my daughter. A chill, safe place to hang out and read!

It was the first day the public could enter and browse. There is a two step process to enter. First, your temperature is taken, next sanitize your hands, keep your mask on. It was a joyous day.

Beautiful spaces, comfortable environment for kids. Very friendly kids' librarians who know how to speak with children.
