Cakes & Bakes gives you the most authentic Hyderabad-style live pani puri experience. Highly recommended for anyone missing or wanting to taste this south-indian street food favorite, especially on a rainy day.

Shoutout to the MVP Suleiman, who prepares and serves it in a high-paced style. There are plenty of pani puri places now in the bay area, but most of them serve Gol-Gappa (North-Indian style), though the menu says pani puri. This place serves a true hyderabadi spicy version, with a sweet and tangy alternative to accommodate those with a gentle palette.

Go give it a try, preferably with lots of friends :)

5/26/23 Friday goat biryani. Taste good but too dry should have added more masala. Don't know how much money they need to provide quality n quantity of food.

no name n price on items, u have to ask for it. Ordered shrimp (11pcs) & mutton (7pcs) biryani both looks same bcoz pieces r in the bottom, spicy, taste good, kessar pista badam milk cake also very good.

7/15/22 Friday nice location. I have been here few yrs ago when newly opened I had a puff pastries n Bombay sandwich but never did review. Today got aaloo tikki choley chaat, samosas, some rubbery or mango cake no name tags on food items so just I select randomly and all taste very good.
Will try more menu items next visit. Hopefully owner will put name n price tags on items so it will be easy for customers in selection.

I ordered a customized fondant cake for my daughter's first birthday, and it exceeded my expectations in both design and taste. Krishna ji from the shop provided exceptional customer service, helping me choose the perfect flavor and size for the cake. Thanks to his recommendation, we opted for a smaller cake than initially planned, yet we still had plenty left over to enjoy for two more days!

The Pani puri stall is a hit or miss. The taste seems to be pretty consistent but there are other Pani puri places now in the bay area that are better.
Would definitely recommend the badam cake. It has a really soft texture and perfect balance of sweetness and flavor

I selected a design from Instagram and added my own personal touches for my daughter's birthday. The baker performed an incredible job, and I was blown away by the final product. I will now order the cake annually and heartily suggest it to everyone. Thank you for the hospitality, baker, and to the entire Cakes and Bakes crew. 😊😊

Gongura paneer Biryani is my happy food from cakes and bakes.
I can eat this Biryani anytime anywhere.
Sadly they closed their Sunnyvale location.

These guys have expanded a month ago, the place is huge now, cakes both eggless and with eggs are awesome, must visit for all indian chats and sweets. The chicken is not Halal. They also take payments with tap and pay devices, apple or android. They also take custom orders for parties and events.

“Decent Place to have some typical Indian quick bites. Small place, the guy at the counter was good with nice gestures. You can get many types of Indian snakes, especially chai, samosa, some varieties of puffs and many other fast foods too. Not to forget panipuri here is the best that you can get in whole Fremont maybe in the entire Bay Area. Loved thei panipuri which was served in typical Hyderabadi style. The guy at the panipuri stall was good too. Will definitely visit again for sure. Panipuri available only on Weekends ......

Indian style, Eggless Cakes are awesome, we ordered on birthday and anniversary.

This has been my favorite place since pre-covid! They have been so consistent with their quality and they have never disappointed me. The badam cake and custard are delicious!
Due to covid they discontinued their pani puri counter for a while but , their live pani puri (available on the Friday and weekends) is a must try!

Punugulu are very tasty… if you ever miss Andhra snacks visit this place. Want to try yummy jelebi

I love this place, everytime I've been here It was a great experience. At store I love their egg puff, corn chat and not to forget vadapav. After few visits we decided to give my daughter's first birthday cake order to them and I am glad I took that decision. Attached our cake picture and the flavors were simply great. My favorite was guava, yummm!!! Look forward for more cakes from cakes and bakes :)

The staff of Cakes & Bakes are very helpful and courteous. They made a birthday cake for my daughter's birthday and it turned out exactly how we wanted. I recommend this place for birthday cakes. And they also have a few different types of Indian food!

One of the best cakes that too in eggless category we have had here in the US. This was unanimous opinion of every single guest at our event. Everyone took multiple servings. We had ordered their Mango cake, Mohan and Krishna were were so kind in accommodating the request for a cake serving 20-25 people just two days before the event. They even accommodated our request for pickup before their usual business hours. Best customer experience, everything was so smooth and flawless!

Arrived a little past 10 pm on Saturday because I was craving pani puri. Happy with the service we received at that hour. The only place we get Hyderabadi pani puri, please try.

Great cakes at reasonable price. We ordered a cake for the sweet 16 occasion from them. 2 layered. We choose an intricate flower design. Filling was black forest. We were a bit tensed since it's the first time and not much experience with this shop then, but when it was delivered it looked beautiful. When we cut the cake it tasted fantastic. There was not much cake left at the end of the party.

Great cake, baker Vinod fulfilled his promise 100%.
