Mark-Jason Solofa Men's Grooming

I have been visiting Mark and his locations for a few years and I am always happy. You will have fantastic conversations and leave with a great cut. Mark makes you feel like family and you almost don't want to leave when your cut is done. I've recently been sitting with barber Dan because it's worked better for my schedule. And I can't recommend him enough. It's such a relaxing experience that I almost fell asleep in his chair. The Castro Valley location is welcoming and convenient, and Berkeley is fantastic as well. A visit with Mark, or any of his barbers is more than just a haircut.

Mark is a great barber

We booked an appointment on their website and put a credit card down for the slot. My 18 yr old son had never been to a proper barber. He had only ever been to salons. This was an amazing introduction to the art of Barbery for him! His appointment was with Jack. Jack greeted us warmly and offered a beverage. He proceeded to sus out what my son wanted out of this haircut. He took the time to step him trough some possibilities. Once the desired style and cut were determined, Jack set about doing his thing! Jack is obviously very skilled. His bald taper was flawless! After the cut, my son got treated to a hot towel and a straight razor clean up. Jack showed him how to style the cut, and what products to use. As we were wrapping up, we even got the pleasure of meeting the owner of the establishment, who was also a very nice gentleman! After a hug, and a generous tip, we were happily on our way! What a FIRST CLASS experience! We will definitely be back. Thank you Jack!
