What a cute store with so many cute items inside! So much fun looking at everything!

This gem of the Valencia Corridor offers newly crafted ceramics and glass works, vintage artifacts, great finds in art, and the best edgy, hipster home furnishings and appointments. The pricing is astonishingly reasonable. No kidding. But best of all is the smarts and smiles of the staff—you’ll feel welcome coming in, grateful to find this asset when you look around, and made to feel like you’re an asset before you leave.
Black and Gild is one of the five best shops in The City, and I’ve been shopping in San Francisco for 47 years, so don’t even think of ignoring this review. This hand-slumped glass bowl and the fusiform vases below that are characteristic of my B&G finds.

Had a pleasant experience shopping around and chatting with the owner, talked about the diffusers and some of the other kitchen items, a cute store with some nice curated items, good spot if you’re looking for some unique gifts for the holidays or something for the home

I’ve searched far and wide for a unique case to display my ceramic. Even carving out an entire day during my most recent trip to Milan to to find something. Lo and behold; I would find what I was looking for right here in the neighborhood at Black & Gold. Also found a one of a kind vintage jewelry case to go with it.

Make sure you stop in for one of a kind keepsake furniture and other things. This place will certainly not disappoint. The tall gentlemen who often runs the joint has a great knack for understanding exactly what you are looking for.

This is THA SH!+! From their offerings to the BG aromas as one enters. A gallant, fine and define gent named Kelvin just might be at this location, depending upon timing, but go in, stay, spend, and return. I’ll be there again soon. It’s the only place I’ve been able to get the same incense that my Dad burnt when I was but a lad. BG is royalty.

This shop is a DREAM! It is curated so well, and the pieces all tell a story from one display to the next. I love shopping here for personal design items, but I find it to be a great stop for when I am shopping for gifts for friends and family.
