Tacoma Fire Station 13

Just walking by and was showing my daughter the fire truck and was met by an wonderful firefighter who showed her inside the truck and station. It was such a great experience for her to learn about the trucks and for me to learn about the history of the station! I’m so glad we stopped and were met with such warmth and kindness. Firefighters are HEROS in our house! Thank you for making our day so special!

Firemen!!!! Enough said right?!?!

Sitting in the hospital where I am being administered steroids and breathing treatment for my medical issue that the 9-11 operator said the hospital would do nothing for. A hushed silence fell over the room when I told them I walked here because the fire department who showed up said since I had walked to 7-11 that I should have kept walking to the hospital. He said things to me like the "problem lies within me" and that I was being argumentative with everyone. They made me meet me them at the corner of the street even though they had my apartment #. Frankly these people are pigs. Not uncommon among Tacoma locals. But this fire department is pigs and lowlifes. No one should be treated like this especially when responding to a 9-11 call. I have had to call 9-11 only times living here and today I honestly feel this fire department went out of their way to deny me basic service for god knows what reason. I will be looking into my legal options when I get out of the hospital

Man my husband works for the Post Office comes in in full uniform asking for jumper cables because I am stranded in the Safeway parking lot. But not one single man in this entire fire station has a single pair of jumper cables from his personal work use truck. I find that hard to believe. On top of that nobody offers any assistance of any kind. We have 2 vehicles just needed the cables... then a tacoma police officer pulls up to Safeway but they are not allowed to give jumps. So he drives off... Where the help from our heros??? I guess my memories of city workers caring and being helpful is just a faded memory. Thanks guys for all the concern...
