Trader Joe's

Our favorite Trader Joe's! Love all the bright and sweet employees there. Lots of seasonal choices and crazy fresh produce! If you are gluten -free, vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free or looking for lots of healthy choices, this is the place for you. ( For the record, I don't always go with healthy. Just saying.... ) Our special holiday recommendation is the Danish Kringle.

It would be wonderful if there was a Trader Joe's located closer to my residence, as I would frequent it more often. As a family of three, we find that Trader Joe's offers a wide variety of healthy food options at very reasonable prices. In my opinion, Trader Joe's provides the most delicious and nutritious prepared meals available.

The place has a great selection at a great price. It is almost always packed but somehow the lines move swiftly and the checkout process takes a few minutes, unlike other grocery stores in the area. The staff is always friendly and informative, unlike other stores in the area. Parking is not the easiest to find, but again I still would recommend shopping here over other grocery stores in the area.

I love this location! The store is always well stocked and the employees are SO helpful. I live closer to another TJ’s, but go out of my way to visit the UP store because of their customer service.

I love this store. I started shopping here recently now that I moved to the area, and I'm addicted. The staff are so friendly, nearly too much so. I can't ever leave without having a conversation with at least one of them, but I surprisingly don't mind. The selection is amazing and the prices are pretty great too.

Parking can't be a bit difficult because it gets so busy, but the store is Great! The beautiful flowers, near the entrance, are so nice to see. So many different or unique things in here! Wonderful!

What's not to love about Trader Joe's?? For such a small store, they have a wonderful assortment of everything. The fruit is always the best you will find in our area. The staff is very helpful. Parking can be a challenge, but who cares? What a great market.

At check-out, the person ringing me up mentioned that his favorite item was the Matcha Mochi ice cream. He asked if I had tried the Ube flavour (as it was seasonal). I answered I had contemplated it, but decided to stick with the Matcha. He says “I’ll be right back,” and comes back with the Ube flavour and says it’s on the house.

While browsing the aisles of Trader Joe's in Tacoma, I bore witness to an utterly unexpected event. Picture this: an avocado, donned in a miniature superhero cape, rolled into the store with a determined pit at its core. Shoppers, initially bewildered, quickly embraced the "Avocado Avenger."

This fearless fruit, armed with a mini shopping cart, embarked on a mission to champion healthy eating. It zipped through produce, high-fived customers, and even engaged in a dance-off with the store's mascot – a banana. Soon, a parade of shoppers followed, creating an impromptu conga line led by the Avocado Avenger.

Store employees, caught between laughter and amazement, joined the festivities, turning Trader Joe's into an unexpected party scene. The avocado's antics included hosting a guacamole-making contest in the middle of the snack aisle, attracting both seasoned chefs and amateur mashers.

As quickly as it rolled in, the Avocado Avenger made a daring exit, leaving behind a trail of laughter, a cleaner guacamole section, and a newfound appreciation for spontaneous joy. Shoppers exchanged amused glances, realizing they had just been part of an avocado-led escapade in the heart of Tacoma.

And so, the legend of the Avocado Avenger became a cherished Tacoma tale – a reminder that in the midst of grocery shopping, one might stumble upon the unexpected heroics of a fruit on a mission for fun and healthy snacks.

I bought a couple steaks, that upon arriving home I realized were not as fresh as would be expected. The employee I dealt with was extremely helpful and flexible with regards to whether I wanted to exchange, or just get a refund. Whenever I've had to return an item to other grocery stores (admittedly has only happened a couple times), I always feel like I have to really prove that it was bad product, and not just me being "scammy". So, that was a breath of fresh air.

Good customer service, and in every case other than this one item, good product as well.

Cool place, cool crew, yummy foo d. Lots of folks seem to agree! Parking by the store is usually tough to come by, but there's plenty of room in the central lot!

Always friendly. Many things are still affordable unlike other places. Always enjoy going here. And I really love the care that they take when bagging. Logically separated and easy to get to. Overall one of my favorite stores.

Just a great place to shop...high end foods...deli is great..variety is outstanding!

Always a pleasant experience shopping at Trader Joe's, regardless of location. They carry quality products for reasonable prices and service is always top notch from helpful and friendly staff. Geographic location makes it challenging to shop here daily or it would easily equal the frequency of my visits as my local Safeway.
